Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lovely path with excellent views of Loch Lomond. Plenty of parking in the big car park in the centre of Balmaha, you can park for an hour for free which is long enough to walk around at a steady pace, you might want to get longer though so you can stop and enjoy the views.

We had been to Balmaha before to walk up Conic Hill. This time we did this shortish walk. I have arthritis so this was a challenge due to the steep sections especially on a drizzly day. It is worth the climb to the remains of old fort for the views of the loch. Be warned the section around the rocky promontory towards the end is tricky and narrow and not for those unsure on their feet.

Blessed by a lovely sunny day. The pier at Balmaha is a delightful spot to watch the sun go down on Ben Lomond and the Loch.
