Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A two hour ' Island ' cruise. A figure of 8 course just past the islands and back. A commentary by Neil Oliver kept the facts and figures coming as we travelled around the southern part of the Loch. I was fascinated to learn that many years ago Wallabies were homed on one of the Islands and 30+ still live there today ! Amazing views even though it was a bit grey and overcast.

We did the 2 hour trip. We were lucky with the weather, and we enjoyed the commentary. The views were excellent and plenty of photos to take. On a whole a very enjoyable time on board and worth the money.

Sailed from Balloch on sunny pm for a 2 hour cruise going up as far as Luss and turned came back.
Lots to see and the commentary was good.
The scenery was stunning.
Had not done since at primary school and that would have been on the Maid of the Loch.
The boat had comfortable seating toilets a bar hot/cold drinks etc.

Thanks for a wonderful trip out on Loch Lomond. My parents and I are visiting from Australia, and with our surname being Sweeney it felt fitting to join on your tour! Even though the weather was dreary the views were spectacular and we enjoyed our time together you. Thank you.

Unfortunately we picked a wet and cloudy day for the trip which did detract from the experience somewhat. The opportunity for stunning photos was zero.
Having said that, the staff were super friendly (even letting us on the boat early out of the rain) and they served decent coffee.
The commentary by Neil Oliver was interesting and overall we enjoyed the trip regardless.

We went on the 2 hour cruise. Shame for the cruise company as there were only us and 2 other people aboard. But great for us and really appreciated the cruise going ahead. The crew were lovely, the boat was immaculate and the cruise itself very informative with lots of historical facts we hadn’t known. Weather wasn’t great but it didn’t matter as we were cosy inside. Chrystal’s shortbread was to die for so we tracked down a shop where we could buy some to take home. Would absolutely recommend this company.

Boat ride was nice but very impersonal. There was a screen that could have been utilized to show close ups of things we saw in the distance.

We took the 1 hour scenic tour of Loch Lomond from Balloch. The boat was clean and today with refreshments and places to sit inside and and out. The tour takes you over the geological fault line that separates the highlands from the lowlands

We lucked out with no rain!! The boat was clean and the staff friendly. The commentation as we moved from place to place was helpful and enjoyable. We saw some spectacular views from the boat, captured by photographs that will last a lifetime. There are light snacks, drinks and some alcohol available for purchase. I recommend this lake tour.

Does the cruise go in early November

From November there is a wintertimetable. This means only a limited number of cruises takes place. Do not forget darkness starts early in the afternoon, so rather take the cruises that leave in the late morning.

Can you get on and off the cruise at Luss or would we have to go down to Balloch?
Hi David,
Thank you for your question.
The Balloch- Luss waters service starts at weekend in April and every day May- September. You can boar the boat at Luss @ 1:30pm have a 1 hr cruise to Balloch where you can either disembark or have a 1/2 hour stop and return to luss @ 3.00pm arriving at 4.00pm. The cost of this cruise is £20 return per person.

Thinking about the 1 Hr cruise. Are there toilets on board? Any tips for a quieter ship? Less crowds ? Thinking this Saturday 2 June 2018

Hi there are toilets on board the vessel that we sailed on and I would assume that would be the case with the others. On the day that we sailed the shorter 1 hour cruises were the busiest and more so in the morning. You can check sailing times on their website a quiet cruise would be later in the day I feel.

Is your one hour cruise okay for a person who gets very seasick on boats?
Hello,
The one hour cruise is usually aboard the Astina, our largest vessel and the least effected by waves. The best thing would be to check the weather on the day- windy days make the water choppy but it is very rarely too bad- it really depends on the severity of your seasickness.

I think in the summer it might get full but in April there were about 30 of us on a boat for 180.
The ticket office is about 50 m from the boat. Could check the times of the boats.
but there is a nice walk alongside the loch about 1/4 mile away.
