Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Played July two days running. First thing is you can play 18 HOLES, as double tee positions on each hole. The 10th drives from over the river ! ...greens were immaculate, fairways best I'd seen on any course in manty years, and the views. Wow! Well done groundsman. Used buggy first day and played 36 holes, morning and afternoon, then decided to walk the next day only to struggle to play as exhaustion set in ( me and golf partner getting on a bit)..., Teamed with a night on the pop in Callandar...BLISS. Close contest but I won the last day when opposition got drunk on Irn Bru. In the area more than once...get a freinds of Killin membership and play nearby courses as well.

I love playing this course as it is quite a challenge for a shortish 9 holes. But you need to be straight off the tee and like climbing hills.
We played in May whilst every thing was still wet from spring rain and it is a struggle to find your ball if you get too wide.
The greens are small and were quite slow when we played but that may be due to how early in the year it was.
Most holes could be described as pretty with great views from the top part of the course. But my favourite is the first where you play over the river to a 2 tiered fairway.

Thank you for your kind review. Our greens will never be mega fast because of the type of grass, but they are true.

Played here while on holiday & this is an absolutely beautiful 9 hole golf course. Stunning scenery & course in excellent condition. Some great holes, including teeing off over the river, a par 4 with 2 blind shots & a 95 yard par 3 that you have to pitch over a wall. Also, every single shot you play has a gorgeous view. Only saw about 4 other people too, so it really was millionaire's golf. Would definitely recommend a visit here for 9 or 18 holes( different tees for back 9)

Short well kept course with some challenging holes.

Greens 8/10
Fairways 8/10
Tees 8/10
Scenery 10/10
Friendliness 10/10
Value for money 10/10

Enjoyable? Very! Worth playing 18 holes for a few nice differences in tees.
I played early mornings several times over a couple of years and it was very quiet and peaceful.

The river flowing under the bridge and very old trees really lift the place. Beautiful!
Also, there was a deer waiting for me on the first tee one morning!
There is an honesty box outside the clubhouse if you arrive too early.
There are a couple of hills to walk up and down but nothing too severe.
Have a look at my pictures...

Going back this year camping to Killin and will be sneaking out again before my wife gets up, straight onto the first tee! :-)

Essence is to start early as I did. Played 18 holes. Course is short (9/18 hole) being the best. Lovely views. Just be careful crossing the wooden bridge when wet as very slippery. Saw a female golfer go over. I slipped over between 9th and 1st tee. There are some long hilly walks. If you want a takeaway sandwich or any food best to pre order. I would play course again if I was in the area.

So glad we got the chance to play Killin Golf course during our visit to Scotland. Set in beautiful scenery and very well maintained, the course is fun to play and well worth a visit. Definitely would look forward to returning someday.

Views are stunning easy course. Fairly well maintained. BUT tees are shocking. Grass 3 inches high and feet soaked. Also Signage terrible and we could not find our way round. ok for a casual social round though

Stayed at lodges close by and played here twice, did 18 one day and 9 the day before we left. The weather helped as it was sunny both days which only enhanced the views from this wonderful golf course and club. Really well maintained and a joy to play, the staff were friendly and helpful. If your in the area give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

And Killin is the one. Quiet, well maintained and nice holes. Beautiful landscape and great views. So not only hitting the ball males fun.
