Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hired two bikes. One mountain bike for my grandson, one electric for myself. Cycled up to Luss. Grandson found his mountain bike hard going. We popped into their Luss office and swapped his for an electric one. Small charge, but great service. He loved it. Will definitely be back next year for a longer hire. Great day out.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Having taken two boats out for a hen party trip, this was an expensive and underwhelming experience. Other feedback tells tales of excellent customer service and enthusiastic skippers, this expectation has not been met.
I have allowed 75 days to hear back from management in regards to my points, and can only assume they are not interested now in responding to my feedback, despite an apology for delay in responding, and an ignored prompt 49 days ago.
I wouldn't recommend this tour as customer service is not deserving of the price tag.

We went on the pub crawl boat tour for my sister’s hen do back in August and it was so much fun. The boat went surprisingly fast and the pubs were great fun - especially the one on the island which you can only get to by boat so it’s a good was to explore Loch Lomond. I was initially worried about booking the tour because it seemed expensive but glad we went ahead with it because it was definitely worth it. Paul (our driver) was very very knowledgeable about the Loch, very flexible in what we wanted to do and wanted to make sure we had the best experience!

Frustratingly awful communication that resulted in my friend and I being scammed out of our money. They never showed up at the sight and said we had to relocate. Then stupidly claimed the staff were there even though we made it clear that we couldn’t get to the other sight as teenage hikers with obviously no car. Their policy used an alleged fact that they were there on time so we couldn’t get a refund to justify their poor behaviour- and let me make this clear, we were there waiting at the sight for OVER our time slot. They showed no sympathy after scamming us and instead of refunding us they gave us a gift card that you can only use at their site- pretty unsuitable if you’re a tourist and don’t even live in the same country.
It’s a great shame as it would’ve been a fun activity but it was ruined by this company’s greed for teenager’s pocket money. It was extremely unprofessional. If you’re understaffed just say it and refund us the money- why should we pay for an experience we never had- it’s not your right to keep it and play victim. I think if anyone as been inconvenienced it’s us.
Or perhaps I should be more sympathetic, they clearly need the £40 …the ‘sight’ was so run down it didn’t even have an entrance.

Amazing experience, we travelled from London and arrived over an hour after they closed - they waited for us!
We rented the boat over the weekend and explored the Islands on Loch Lomond looking for the lost treasure, wild camping and 'fishing', we didn't find any treasure but the staff were friendly and committed to ensuring we enjoyed our time
I don't leave reviews but the whole weekend would have been ruined had they not been such a competent and friendly team
Thanks guys

Excellent & friendly service - lovely canoe trip on Loch Lomond. Slight rain but at this time of year the Loch is beautiful & peaceful with not too many others around

Four of us did a guided kayak trip with Rowan our guide. He was very informative and friendly, ensuring we were all as safe and comfortable as possible. Unfortunately he could not guarantee sighting Wallabies, though I am sure I have seen them before. They kept our valuables and possessions safe while we were away and it was great to visit an island on the Loch after some fun paddling. Would definitely recommend

I have used Loch Lomond Leisure a few times now. One of my kids got stranded on the loch due to the sup board fin coming off. On return to shore I was told to pay £30 for a fin. In my opinion it was obviously a defective board. There was no other way this could have detached by simply paddling normally and constantly in deep water. WON’T BE BACK. Don’t waste your money, buy your own sup board.

Excellent service on the phone after we had made an online booking (unknown to us with a 3rd party) and then realised that they offered a double kayak which is what we wanted directly. Also rebooked the two paddleboards for our daughters and made a saving. On site on the day equipment and wetsuits in good order, basic changing room available and staff efficient and friendly.
We went for the four hours - 2 is ok but not really enough to explore and you risk getting very tired trying to get back when the price difference is minimal.

Partner and I are interested in booking some activities with our 6 and 9 year old children during Feb half term - what activities in your experience do you think kids these ages cope best with? (Being Feb we are prepared that the weather may not be on our side)

Some of the islands in Loch Lomond are private islands and protected but others are free to roam and camp overnight your best bet is to contact the trossachs information centre they can tell you what particular islands are where on the Loch the Loch Lomond leisure hire boats and kayaks they will also have staff who can give you the information you need. Hope you come up and enjoy the beautiful scenery and nature I can't guarantee the weather though lol

The boat to go to luss is either £16 or £18 per person, your hotel will tell you where to go for the different crossings and there are various boats for different excursions.

To anyone who has been on the speedboat pub tour for stag/hen activities....did you go for the 3 hour or 4 hour tour? Looking to keep the cost for everyone down however worry the 3 hour tour means you dont have long at each stop?

we did the 4 hours one and did 3 pubs as it gives you more time at each venue. Just because you do the 4 hours one does not mean you need to do 4 pubs.
