Fantastic family fun and perfect for all ages, there’s a lot of different boats to pick from as well as paddle boards, I was disappointed the prices shown however were wrong so for an hour double kayak hire it’s £30 each. The car park is normally very busy which can be a little difficult finding a spot. The loch is massive and there’s lots to explore definitely would use this place again and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly.

Myself, Annmarie, Michael & Charlotte had a great day with Cliff our guide. We learnt some canoeing skills and we feel pretty expert now on canadian canoes. Loch Lomond is incredibility atmospheric and was just that for our day. We went around and between the islands in the loch with Cliff relating history, geology and archaeology as we went.. this was perfect for us. As a bit of a bonus we saw a couple of osprey on our return to the launch site. We finished the day excited and enthused! Loved it.
We will be back to do some of the other adventures!

What a fab way to spend the day. Luci, our guide, was friendly, helpful and informative. The water got a bit too choppy and she quickly got us turned round and headed for the safety of the shore, where we had a lovely picnic and even a wee swim in the loch! Brr!

Would recommended a guided canoe tour - we would have definitely been in hot (well, cold) water if we hadn't had Luci's expert guidance!

Thanks all!

We booked a full day Canoe Safari and loved every minute of it. We managed to get the best day of the year weather wise and Archie was an amazing tour guide. We learnt so much & saw so many things we wouldn't have if we'd have stayed on shore. It was the highlight of our trip and something we'll remember & talk about for many years. Thank you

We actually did a canoe safari on Loch Lomond in February 2013 - it's taken 3 years to write this review but it's worth doing because it was such an amazing experience!

When I booked, I told Archie that this would be a surprise trip for my partner's birthday. When we arrived at Loch Lomond Lodge (where we stayed for a cuppa before we set off), Archie and Tam produced a paddle from behind their seat as a way to let her in on the secret! That set the tone for the day, as Archie and Tam were so lovely, genuine and eager to share their extensive knowledge of Loch Lomond and Scotland.

Before we set off, Archie and Tam were a bit apologetic about the mist that was covering the lake. We could hardly see! But as we set off, it actually made for an incredibly magical setting - especially once the mist started to burn off and blue skies started to break through! It was like canoeing through clouds at one point, everything was so still and peaceful. Once it cleared, it was like paddling on glass - the snow capped hills were reflected perfectly in the water.

The instruction we were given on land was clear without being too heavy or condescending, and before long we were off on our way across the loch.

We did some island hopping throughout the trip, and Archie & Tam had brought along a flask for us to enjoy at one of the stops. We learned lots about Scottish history, Loch Lomond and bushcraft/survival skills. We split our time between paddling and exploring the islands, and it was a good balance. Both guides were very respectful and at times held back whilst we went on ahead so we could enjoy the feeling of being out on the water alone, and because of the time of year, we WERE pretty much alone - which was amazing! Water and incredible scenery as far as you could see and no one else to share it with.

This trip out was one of the best things we've ever done together and it inspired us to do more canoeing when we got home. I'm so grateful to Archie & Tam for helping to make the surprise a success. I would definitely recommend a Canoe Safari led by Archie!

Luci was a fantastic guide, we met up at the hotel and had a coffee and chat to start our day, she was very easy going and friendly.

We spent the first few hours learning how to kayak properly and she was a great teacher, very patient while we were embarrassingly going around in circles, but by the end of it we can paddle in a straight line!

we stopped at one of the larger island where we gathered some wood, lit a fire and cooked some sausages with sweet potatoes - finished with a lovely cuppa tea and a fun paddle back to the main land!

Would highly recommend Luci and the day out in Loch Lomond.

As other reviewers have noted, Archie is an amazing guide. The weather prevented us from paddling, so we took a boat trip to an island and Archie led us on a hike, showing and teaching us the flora, fauna, geology, and history of the area. We love to learn about the places we travel, and Archie made sure we had our fill. It's a treat to learn from someone who cares so much about the place in which he lives.

Booked this 3 hr canoe safari on 8th August for my grandson and myself. Our guide Archie was fantastic very knowledgeable about the local history, and on the wildlife and fauna. There is normally a group of 10, but the other party sadly could not make it, so we had a personal tour from Archie. He quickly and efficiently went through the safety aspects and how to paddle and we were off no worries.Taken along the loch a great relaxing way to travel and gives you different views of Loch Lomond that you don't get from the lochside, then over to one of the islands we went ashore which gave us a chance to stretch our legs The banter was great made to feel right at home myself and Grandson loved it.Can highly recommend. Hope to come back and maybe do the full day tour.

One of the highlights of our entire trip, our day on the Loch with Archie was amazing. Though it was a little tough in the wind, it was totally worth the effort. Archie was an excellent guide/instructor and I would recommend this experience to anyone.
