Excellent place to eat and enjoy the views, even if not a golfer
Open to non members, with a very friendly welcome and an excellent restaurant (The Heathers), serving great food, with fish and seafood a specialty. The views across the golf course towards the sea and Eyemouth itself are great. The golf course is challenging, as are most links courses, with one of the hardest par 3 holes in the UK. Tee to green may only be 160yds, but it’s across a rocky inlet, so I’d class that as definitely a “knee knocker”.

    A must visit course!
With travelling over 250 miles to Scotland for work, I couldn't pass up the opportunity of a round whilst up there. Also wanting to play a links course that offered value for money for a 23 handicap golfer, Eyemouth offered just that. Michael, the pro, welcomed me to the course and gave me a detailed run through the course and how to best approach each hole based in my skill level. He also actively encouraged me at least have a crack from the back tee on the stunning 6th hole (which I made par from!) and from the tiger tee on the mammoth 13th, even if it was just to say I tried! The course was in excellent condition, greens ran fast and smooth! And the bunkers looked really inviting to play out of, although thankfully I didn't gave to. The views alone are worth the green fee let alone getting to chase a ball around the course. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone, no matter your skill level. I shot 93 and loved every shot! I will certainly consider a 2nd visit if I'm passing in future.

Good course .. restaurant staff need to be more friendly
What a beautiful day at Eyemouth golf course. Course was in great condition, staff working very hard. Good greens & fairways well managed., Only bad thing was staff upstairs in restaurant, what a dour faced lot they are. Young gentleman behind bar is in need of a personality transplant. Food was ok though & also dog friendly

We waited for the weather to break almost all day and it was definitely worth it. Heavy rain and wind almost looked to scupper our round of golf even though the pro shop had kindly allowed us to put back our tee time in the vain hope that the sun would shine. Whilst I’m not a religious person our prayers were answered and grey skies cleared to reveal a gorgeous sun drenched evening. The course is well worth a visit with some challenging holes namely the very scary 6th where it’s a 170 carry across the sea! The wind picked up to make the back nine more difficult and there are a couple tough hills to climb. The course was well presented albeit due to wet weather the greens were a little woolly. Green fee at around £40PP was worth every penny.

A great golf course with some of the best views anywhere, notable holes are the 6th undoubtably one of the most daunting tee shots to hope for and the 13th a 607 yard par 5, the course was in good condition and the greens were quite fast if a little uneven only to be expected at this time of year.the club house has great views over much of the course and the sea, the food is very good and reasonably priced. I'd certainly play here again and would recommend it.

We stayed at Eyemouth Golf Club in our campervan for one night in Mid June 2022 when visiting the town.
the Golf Club offer free overnight stay for a few campervans when purchasing a meal in the restaurant, we opted for breakfast.
This is a great spot and only 10 mins walk in to town, although up hill on way back.
View's out to sea are amazing and wildlife can be seen all around.

This is a good location for one or two nights, toilet facilities available when clubhouse open, this would be ideal to develop in to a small site with more facilities.

Overall a good stay.

A must play course should you visit the Scottish Borders. A scenic golf course in very good condition when we played it yesterday. The feature par 3 third hole is great, you drive over a short rocky cove to a small green.
The rest of course provided a great golfing experience.
If you have mobility issues at all, I would recommend hiring a buggy.

Very friendly staff in the pro shop . And nice people on the course. The course is in great condition with stunning views. Some good long holes with tricky greens and the par 3s will certainly test you. It’s a tough course physically with some very steep hilly fairways. So maybe consider a buggy if you struggle with walking up hills.
To sum up, a good course with beautiful views and some difficult holes.

Warm welcome from Michael. Golf course in excellent condition. Great definition and the greens ran true. Fantastic coastal views from challenging links holes, especially the 6th and 7th. More of a parkland feel to some of the other holes but they were equally challenging and interesting. We travelled from Lincolnshire and felt that it was worth the trip to play here.

Food was very poor, overcooked fish, cold mushy veg. Service was terrible. Slow service when busy is perfectly understandable but rude service is never acceptable.
Only redeeming feature is view.

Played this course on Monday - what a fantastic place! Definitely worth a visit. Great welcome by Laura (i think that was the ladies name..) who gave us a quick chat through the course. The 6th hole is worth it alone. Fabulous views all round too which helps things along the way! Thanks guys!

Played the course but only told on the day there was essential annual course maintenance ongoing to the greens.
No reduction in green fee was offered as is the custom at a lot of courses. We have tried to resolve the matter amicably and been offered another round but a 4 hour drive for our party is too far for a day out.
Eyemouth is a lovely venue and clubhouse but sad to say it would have been nice gesture on the day as the greens were not of the standard you expect due to the works. We did play other courses in the Borders that week and were offered a reduction without any asking on arrival due to course maintenance.
I'm afraid will not be back so please check before you pay your green fee.

It is always sad when someone comments negatively especially when they do so anonymously. We have had a number of email exchanges over the past 2 months with the person who posted this review. Unfortunately he was not satisfied with our offer of 6 x Free rounds of Golf worth £240 even though our total income from his party of 6 visit, which included a courtesy round and 2 x 2fore1 vouchers was less than £100. We are always sad when someone says they will not return to our beautiful golf course but then again, in this case maybe not. His loss will not be ours. Mel Lockett Club Captain
