Rather rural but beautiful view overlooking the valley near Abbotsford House. We also hiked in to see the William Wallace statue on the other side of the hill. Short walk nice statue.

A beautiful place with a great view. The shrubs were in bloom. According to the monuments quite a lot of dead people liked it too

What an awesome spot this is, non the wonder old Sir Walter loved it, we do too. Wonderful views of the surrounding area and the Eildon hills. Come here, bring a picnic and soak up the fantastic views.

I can see why Scott loved it. Perfect view of the three hills looking down onto Old Melrose. Saw a little path in the gorse and went to explore. Came across some memorials and freshly scattered ashes so stick to the benches. Plenty of parking...More

You can leave Jedburgh making for Melrose and I think you have to turn off on to a minor road. I called at the statue of William Wallace (Braveheart) on the way but it is tucked away although very impressive. Scotts View is... More
