We didn't check their website before going and arrived to find it closed until 2018. Very disappointing as we hadn't seen many local whiskies in local shops and were looking forward to buying some.

Great atmosphere, good food, really nice setting for sampling local culture! Friendly staff! They have a £5 fish friday which is fantastic value and very tasty. Either traditional fish and chips, fish chowder or steamed fish and mashed potatoes.

It's true the distillery doesn't seem to be.open for tours right now. The new owner is doing lots of work in the distillery (probably the reason it's not open for visitors) and has shops in Australia and the U.S. I know you can buy Bladnoch...More

It was a pleasant drive out there during a visit to Wigstown but when we arrived it was all closed up and apparently under extensive renovation when I knockdown the door of the office. Best to phone ahead if you are a dedicated fan!

The distillery tour is fascinating, although I believe it has been suspended during renovations at present. Phone ahead to check. Recently changed ownership, the new 'distiller' has great plans to expand the operation. Great tour, and a nice wee dram at the end.

This much troubled distillery is under new (Australian) management. A bright future lies ahead for local employment and new products. Sadly no tours for now, maybe next year? Call in and show you care. It could have been another lost gem. Be patient!

Before visiting Bladnoch Distillery I was aware that it had entered administration earlier in the year (2015) and a new buyer had just been found in the last two weeks. Because of this, they are currently not doing tours although they should be early next...More

Called to visit this place but told it was in liquidation awaiting new ownership. Could be really interesting but the site needs a revamp in order to make it worthwhile to visit.

Hopefully it will shortly be in new ownership. So nice to see it still in business. Well worth a visit if you are in the area and a great dram. Also there is a good distillery shop. Currently open Mon - Friday Looking forward to...More
