We did the Mojo tour. The bus was filled with somewhat obnoxious 50-60 year olds who were a little too into the tour for our liking. You drive by 2-3 places of interest, but mostly it is just a 1.5 hour ambling drive around the city while the guide plays some music and tells some stories. The guide was ok,... More

Yes, you could drive around Memphis on your own but why??? The talented musician on our tour was a local and provided wonderful stories throughout the trip through the streets of Memphis. We also opted for the Sun Studio Tour which took place before the driving tour. Lots of fun! Highly recommended!

The wonderful folks at Backbeat tours made special arrangements for our group to take a ghost tour an a night they don't usually do them. The weather turned to rain but our guide wasn't daunted. He was extremely knowledgable and delightful. I think his name was TJ. He was the best. We learned a lot of the fascinating history of... More

This was a great tour, weaving in and out around the city streets, and listening to the storytelling and singing of our hostess. We also added the Sun Studio visit to our tour, and it was great, as well. Super stories and musical history, all around!

Fantastic afternoon out with Backbeat Tours. Retro decor bus. Comfortable leather seats. Great singalong and guest participation. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better it was off to Sun Records to top off a truly wonderful experience

Overall ... it was a above average attraction. They made you feel welcome. Passed out noise makers on the bus. ( plastic eggs partially filled to make sound and two tamborines - returnable @ end of tour ). There are NO STOPS for bathroom break on this 90 minute bus tour SO MAKE SURE your bladder is completely empty. There... More

When I saw "Dennis" the tour guide wearing an Elvis jacket and later heard that he had 472 Elvis Christmas decorations, we knew he was the real deal. He took us to Graceland and was patient, knowledgeable and respectful. Could tell he LOVED Elvis. It was all kind of a culture shock for me but the tour was good. We... More

I've been on the Memphis Mojo Tour several times and it's always such a fun experience. It's always enjoyable making reservations with Meaghan, who is professional and friendly every time. This was my first time touring with our guide Eric. His music was amazing and he provided lots of fantastic Memphis history along the way. I'm a local Memphian and... More

Great fun to see many locations of Elvis' early life and music career. Bus was clean and comfortable. Staff was very prompt and courteous from the ticket buying experience to the actual bus tour itself. The MC of our tour was quite entertaining singing lots of Elvis songs. Must do if you are an Elvis fan!

We were the only people on our 10 am Wed morning Memphis Discovery Tour. Our guide, Larry, was informative and very friendly. We did not realize that the tour includes Rock and Soul museum, which we already visited the day before, but this was our mistake for not reading the tour highlights carefully. Overall, it was a very nice overview,... More
