I really enjoyed my visit here. For $5 you can get a map w/ all of the notable folks buried on the grounds. There are magnolia trees everywhere and it’s just very serene. I personally came to pay my respects at the slave memorial. There...More

We did not take a tour and maybe should have. We drove to the cemetery and googled who was buried there but did not recognize names so that is as much as we did,

Historically interesting. I love the architecture of the memorials - strolling around gives a sense of history from the civil war to present. Did not do the audio tour as office closed on Sunday.

The Elmwood Cemetary has a very colorful history. There are many famous people buried there and that includes doctors, lawyers, scholars and even Madams! The audio tour was spot on. You rent a CD disk at the office for $10 and it guides you around...More

Took the auto tour for $10. Cd was easy to follow, along with the map. Took about an hour. Even if not interested in history... will find this interesting. Very well done!
