Very quiet with beautiful scenery. Flat and wide pathways with plenty of room to accommodate walkers and cyclists. Really loved it. Very calming.

A fantastic walk to or from Barmouth to Dolgellau crossing the Mawddach on the footbridge/railway bridge. It's along the old railway, so is more or less flat, and accessible to all, though I wouldn't fancy pushing a wheelchair the whole way! It's also open to...More

Myself, my partner and our french bulldog are visiting snowdonia for the first time. We have been recommended to come here for a walk. It was nice but nothing special, wouldn’t return. It’s just one straight path in the woods, not much to see! Hoping...More

A lovely mornings walk from Dolgellau to Barmouth on a beautiful sunny day.woods on one side and beach views on the other side. Easy walking on flat terrain. Lots of bikes also on the trail which meant keeping our dog on a lead.

Being a old flat train track it’s a easy ride to Barmouth for lunch across the train bridge. The track is well laid and smooth.

Got the bus from Dolgellau to Barmouth which took about half an hour. Easy walk and well signposted. We were quite fortunate with the weather and the wind blows inland off the sea. Definitely the best way round to do the walk. About 9 1/2...More

A wonderful place to walk or for a leisurely bike ride. Have done both over the years and enjoyed leisurely bike rides when our children were younger. Stop off at the George for a drink and enjoy the views. Visit the nereby RSPB.
