Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An excellent place with bikes to hire and a lovely cafe with friendly staff and decent food. We did the blue trails and they are really well made and manageable for a beginner. We would return!!

After each of three days riding , we finished off at the amazing cafe for the best soup and sandwich ever.
Emma and her team were three members of staff down due to illness but she kept smiling and the banter was epic !
Well done you !

Absolutely THE WORST directions from their website I have EVER seen. We used the directions given and ended up on some off road path that was almost impassable and we weren't the only ones! Get your directions sorted out you idiots! Whatever you do, DON'T follow your sat-nav location from their website.

If you enjoy walking this is one of the best places to do it. There are a number of trails, taking in the river, forest and waterfalls. Spent 2 days walking here and only saw a small part of this stunning area of outstanding beauty. Our dogs loved it and we did also. Some routes are more accessible than others so check out the website before you select which car park to start from . Definitely a must if you are in that part of the world.

Do it. The walk is incredible, the views and the waterfalls are superb. It’s a good workout and a great way of spending the morning.

The waterfalls are great here. The park is lovely and well signposted. Some trails were closed but you can go off piste easily enough. A great day out in good weather.

A great forest with superb mountain bike and walking trails which are separate. The trails are quite well maintained which offer stunning views, the waterfalls are simply stunning. The cafe is reasonably priced and offers a good range of food, good changing facilities and a well stocked bike shop

Went to Coed y Brenin specifically to do the Yr Afon ‘easy’ bike trail. I’ve done easy trails with the kids in other forests on the fire roads but have to say I don’t think this one was particularly easy. Plenty of ups & downs but the fire roads were very uneven & loose in places. I don’t expect a tarmacked surface but these were rough roads. The scenery however is excellent with the trees, gorge & waterfalls.

Great trails. Unfortunately the bike hire at Beics Brenin was awful. £28 paid upfront and the bike ‘reserved’ had a bald tyre, loose rear wheel, at least 2 gears not working and sounded like something was about to break and fall off.
When picking up the bike and mentioning to staff about an very soft/ nearly flat tyre, they told me to go and pump it up myself?! Unbelievable.
Despite this comedy experience the shop has some great mtb gear. Just a shame for them it’s all so much cheaper online.
