From our Leisurely wildlife packed Puffin Island Cruises & our fascinating & scenic Menai Strait trips to private charters & bespoke all day events, we cater for the whole family, so why not join us in ‘Exploring Wild Wales’. Booked last minute seeing the welcomed October sunshine and it didn’t disappoint. We had Hayden in charge at the wheel , and Jake was our entertaining compare sharing his local knowledge and brief history of relevant historical facts without sounding boring. We saw Seal pups and various birds . It was touching to see how accessible and effortless you made it for the disabled chap to board with his companion today, hope they enjoyed the trip too. Hope you’re enjoying that well talked about beer. Well done lads! Da iawn hogia.

Absolutely amazing 80 minutes spent on Puffin Island tour. Crew were helpful and polite and helped everyone on and off. They were knowledgeable and informative . We saw seals, porpoise, gannet, cormorant and many other species. It was a great trip that included rain, sun, wind and rough seas but it was fabulous.

We booked online and the website was very easy to use.
Arrived in Beaumaris, there was plenty of parking on the green. Booked in at the kiosk and was told to make our way to the end of the pier for 11.50. (We were on the 12 o clock trip). Made our way onto the boat at around 12.05. Was a busy trip but there was plenty of room for everyone. The tour guide was brilliant, informative without rambling on. Just the right amount of info. The weather was perfect which is lucky for me as I don’t do well on boats normally.
We really enjoyed it. Saw loads of wildlife. Our little girl fell asleep on the ride back it was that smooth.

Overall a very pleasant trip, with good views of seals, cormorants, shags and gulls in there protected environment.
The commentary was fairly brief but well informed.
My one disappointment was finding that if we hadn’t booked online, we could have saved £15. However on a previous trip which was cancelled by Seacoast Safaris due to sea conditions, we promptly received a refund.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we really appreciate it. We're really glad you had a good trip and enjoyed all the wildlife!
In regards to the cost of the trip, there is no difference to price whether you book online, in advance or on the day in person with us at the kiosk; we also don't take bookings over the phone or charge any booking fees.
On rare occasions we may not be able to run a particular cruise at short notice, this results in us transferring passengers on to the next available cruise rather than cancelling their visit altogether; in this case we wouldn't expect the passenger to pay the difference. Hope this information is useful, you can also find all our terms and conditions online.

We had a fabulous trip round Puffin Island today. Saw more seals than we've ever done before. Thanks to the captain and crew of the "Neptune Explorer" for giving us such a great time.

We booked our trip to Puffin Island online as advised to avoid disappointment. 2 Adult and 2 Children, which in total was just shy of 75 pounds.
We were travelling from Barmouth, which is 1hr 24mins drive, and experienced car trouble.
I phoned and spoke to a lady to let them know we were going to be 6 minutes late. Signal was poor, and I kept losing connection, but she got the msg.
On arrival at Beaumaris, we ran to the trip stall, but we had missed the trip by 7 minutes.
My granddaughter, who is 8, was so upset, I asked the Lady if they could transfer the cost of the trip to the next day, to which she bluntly responded "no" and nothing more.
She was rude and blunt even though we had spoken on the phone.
I had to just respond OK and walk away due to how she spoke to me in front of my grandchildren.
My daughter in law went back to speak to her later to ask if there was anything she could do but was told if we had phoned then maybe, she explained we did ring several times however she still would not assist us.
The lady also said that someone could have booked the seats. Therefore, the Company would lose money if she transferred the cost to the next day as others could have booked the seats. We waited for the boat to return just to check it was full. This was untrue as on returning the Boat was not at all full.
Unnecessary behaviour and actions! In the current living situation £75 is alot of money that I had saved to be able to take my grandchildren on a special trip.

In response to this review we would like to make clear our check in process and our terms and conditions.
We ask all passengers to check in at the kiosk 30 minutes before your cruise time and not just arrive at the time of sailing; this is mentioned in various places on the website, also during the booking process and in the confirmation email that you receive as soon as you have placed your booking.
If you book in person at the kiosk the team will also inform you of the need to check in for your trip, you are then given the terms and conditions in paper format and will also receive the same email that you are you sent when you book online.
We have this process in place to ensure that everyone is able to arrive in good time and the boat is not delayed. We cannot delay trips for any reason as we have a schedule to keep to and often a short turn around between trips. It's also not fair to those passengers that have managed to arrive on time and may have planned their day around the scheduled trip.
We have a cancellation policy (which can be found online and in your confirmation email) and you are able to amend or cancel your booking up to 24 hours before you sail. Our team will always do their absolute best to help passengers that are not able to make their trip if we have enough notice, however we cannot be expected to compensate passengers for missing their trip when the boat will have gone out with empty seats.

We were booked on this trip just like we had been before a few years to go on the Puffin island boat ride today but we mixed up the day we were to go. So we obviously lost our money on the tickets which were in the total of £160 for 9 of us . We did ring the company as soon as we realized our mistake but we did not really have a positive outcome although they said if they could sell the tickets for our boat ride we might be able to go another day . This however was not the case as our boat apparently went out and they could not apparently sell these tickets Although our genuine mistake the staff were not very friendly or helpful and we will not be using them again for this trip.

In response to this review we would like to make clear our cancellation policy.
We urge all passengers to double check that you have selected the correct date and time before placing your booking, once your booking is placed you will receive a confirmation email with the date and time so you also have the opportunity to check all the details at this point; the email arrives shortly after you have made the booking to the email address provided.
Passengers are then able to amend or cancel their booking right up until 24 hours before your booking meaning that you have time to make amendments if you have made a mistake or even want to add or reduce seats. You can either do this by contacting the kiosk team or alternatively you're able to do this yourself by using the link in your confirmation email.
We will always do our best to assist with changes or cancellations if we are given enough notice however we cannot be expected to compensate passengers that have missed trips meaning boats have gone out with empty seats.

We had a great experience on the puffin island deluxe cruise. The crew, Will and Jake, were friendly and obviously really loved wildlife, we got loads of interesting facts about the sea birds and had all questions answered. The boat was able to get close to the island and we saw seals bobbing around. Really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend this to others.

We were hoping to go on the Menai Straits trip tomorrow, 7th May, but having checked online, it doesn't seem to be operating any time in the near future. Is this correct please?

Hello,
Menai Strait Trips are up on the website, however do not run as often as the Puffin Island Cruises. We are open 7 days a week. March - October. Including Bank Holidays.

Hello, Neptune Explorer is our brand new passenger vessel. This is currently a CAT 2 MCA Coded Vessel. This means she can operate all year round, unlike the other boats that run in the summer months. However we usually only run RIB Tours this time of year.
