Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Always a must trip either a pleasure cruise or fishing trip. I have been holidaying on Anglesey for 50 years, and believe it or not, even sailed with Dave with his previous boat from Cemeas. Dave must be the most experienced skipper on the Island and is supported by the charming Di - they make a great team.
During our 2 hour trip we initially headed west towards Wylfa across to Middle Mouse and then headed East to Porth Wen. Dave hugged the coast which gave us great views of the coast line and enabled us to see a great range of bird life including; fulmars, kittiwakes, gulls, guillemots and gannets. We were excited to see porpoises.
Our trip was narrated by Di who gave us insights into the wild life and local landmarks we all learned something new.
Our trip was comfortable and we were lucky to have great weather even our dog Tux enjoyed it.
Many thanks Rob & Alison and the group.

Last week, I spent all week on holiday near Cemaes Bay, so I decided to contact the owner, Dave Williams, 5 times in the 2 weeks prior to my holiday to book a fishing trip, the phone number I used was the one on his Website, he never answered the phone so I left message after message but no reply, I assumed he was booked up but I would have expected that he replied to voice messages, to say he was booked up, but just like other reviews Dave Williams doesn't give a monkey's
about potential customer's
He doesn't deserve to be in business. Keep away from the Stingray boat and owner Dave Williams, as you will certainly be disappointed

Unfortunately this reviewer failed to leave his phone number on the landline so we had no way of contacting him. Just a reminder that details need to be left.

We went on a pleasure trip with Dave and Di on the stingray during our stay in Cemaes Bay. They were the perfect hosts and had lots of knowledge about the area. We enjoyed seeing lots of different landmarks along the coast, and spotted a wide variety of seabirds and even had a brief sighting of a porpoise! I would highly recommend a trip for getting to know more about the area in a really fun way - my son particularly loved having a seat at the wheel when we pulled into the harbour!

This was the first experience of sea angling.my wife and myself. Dave and his team could not have been more helpful. Wish I could say we caught a fish but another couple on board had more success. All in all a great experience.

Dave appeared friendly but said he was fully booked for the days we were here. Then offered a slot due to a cancellation. We agreed a time, the numbers in the party and a price. We all showed up at the pier ten minutes before the agreed time. Stingray was nowhere to be seen and after waiting nearly an hour on the pier I got through to Dave on the phone who said he thought we weren't coming (though we had confirmed and agreed everything the previous day). We arrived early and Stingray was nowhere in sight so he must have set off half an hour before the agreed time. A lot of disappointed kids and frustrated adults.

We had a great trip with Dave doing some amateur fishing where all our party managed to catch mackerel which we BBQ'd for a late lunch. We also toured a little way up the coast with Dave who was very knowledgeable spotting the wildlife and taking in the coastal landscape. A great outing.

We took a trip on The Stingray on the last day of our stay at Cemaes Bay.

Dave was fantastic and arranged a trip for us (a group of 6 adults and two dogs) right away when we called. When we arrived at the harbour he had cleaned and prepared the boat to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. There was storage space for our things and plenty of room for us and the dogs.

As we headed out into the sea, the weather was beautiful. We saw an island inhabited by thousands of guillemots, seals, gannets and on the way back to Cemaes at least 4 Porpoises followed the boat.

Di was incredibly knowledgable about the wildlife and surrounding islands, telling us historical information and folklore about structures we passed like the old pottery, St Patrick's Church and Middle Mouse Island.

We were out at sea for around 2 hours. Well worth our money and would 100% go again.

We inquired about a charter boat trip for later in the week. Spoke to Dave and he confirmed he would “check the tides” and let us know next morning if we could go out later that day. We then heard nothing from him despite texting him to check in the morning. So thanks to him we wasted a whole morning of our holiday. Completely understand boats can’t always go out but really disgusted that he didn’t have the courtesy to let us know or even send a text reply back. Very unprofessional obviously not interested in the business so I would avoid and go elsewhere.
