    WINTER VISIT
Bit pricey to visit for what it is, not much to see. A busy / over crowded area where big kids are playing in the infant soft play area which is clearly not safe for the toddlers to play in as there is a high risk of accidents most likely to happen. The play area isn’t supervised either. Not in a rush to visit again.

    Really interesting place to visit
Visited as a family of 4 whilst on holiday in the area. We have been before some years ago so this was not our first visit. However, since our last visit, there has been some investment in the site, which was great to see. It’s a really lovely little place to visit. The butterfly walk through is very interesting for to see for both adults and children. Aside from the butterflies there are other animals to see, including rabbits and farm animals. The g walk through path with the goats is a nice feature too. There is a pleasant cafe on site serving coffee, cakes and some hot food. The meerkats directly outside add an interesting feature whilst you enjoy your coffee. Outside there is also a really good park area for the children to play on. Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby.

    Good activity for kids
We went as a family of four with the grandparents as something to do whilst on holiday in the area. The activities are great and there was lots to do for young children (2 years to teens I would guess). A few animals, bugs and reptiles to look at which is fun. But they also have a very good playground outside for the kids to enjoy, a good soft play area inside and diggers and tractors to play on too. All in all we spent maybe 3-4 hours, but couldn’t easily have spent more playing outside and enjoying the weather. There is a cafe on sight and it does the usual standard food and drinks. We also went to Foal Farm earlier in the holiday and I’d say I’d pick this one over the farm but both offer different things.

    Not a full day out
Ok but entrance fees are expensive. There are some animals that I've never seen before but on the whole just like any other small animal park. We were only there for a little over 2 hours including having lunch which was ok, not a massive choice, prices reasonable

    Great for young children
Lovely day out, ideal for young children. They absolutely loved spotting the different butterflies, insects and reptiles. It was all displayed nicely though the site is a bit higgledy piggledy. Was very busy inside as it was raining heavily, we ventured out to the play area despite the downpour - absolutely brilliant for all ages. Food in the cafe was delicious and staff very friendly despite how busy it clearly was.

Lovely day ruined by the staff
Place itself was lovely but be warned about the shop. My 3 year old daughter had £3 in pocket money and chose an item in the shop which was marked as £2.99. When she went to pay they said it was £3.99 which she couldn't afford. They refused to honour the price leaving my daughter upset and confused. When we queried this they said they had spoken to trading standards about this and they don't have to honour the marked price which makes me think they do this often to children. What's more they made no attempt to remove the incorrect price tags from the other items.

    It was ok
Went on what started as a wet day. The butterfly House was 43° & very humid. Expected it but it was packed full so you had to go round very slowly.. My daughters loved the farm but the indoor bit wasn't as big as expected. The playgrounds were very good and had loads to do. We went in the cafe for some food, the good was very good but we had wasps constantly around us. My mum got stung by one, they were everywhere and didn't help by the doors being constantly open.

Bit pricey for what you get.
Visited with 2 children. We enjoyed the butterflies very much. The children were looking forward to see the new reptile house. Sadly it was a bit underwhelming. There's new section open with almost the same tanks as the section they boarded up. Nonetheless kids enjoyed it. Only complaint would be the cafe. We ordered 2 children's baked potato £4.99 each. When they came, it was 1/2 a microwaved potato plonked in a bowl with lukewarm beans on one and few flakes of cheese on other. For £4.99 each this was really poor. Topping it off. There was no cutlery left and was given wooden ones, not great for eating a baked potato. So. Take a picnic if you go!! Oh also slightly annoyed that to renew our annual family ticket this year, the cost has gone up to £170. Although you have to book a slot to visit we found it way too crowded.

Great attraction but so busy we couldnt see it all.
Kids loved the zip wire and slides and didn't want to leave. Had lunch in the restaurant which was fine for a attraction cafe. Only downside was how busy it was. Its great that you don't have a timescale put on your visit but the amount of people that are coming in the door is crazy. Couldn't move around the indoor attractions for prams in corridors and the sheer amount of people, we're not great in tight crowded spaces so gave up on it and went outside in the amazing play park where we stayed for the majority of the visit but the kids loved it anyway.

Good value but not alot there animal wise
Didnt know what to expect as not been before, was slightly busy as to be expected in the holidays. We walked through the butterfly/bird houses first...these are small for the amount of people there but the butterflies are amazing. Lizard land isnt really a land...ita about 4/5 glass houses and very cramped inside. Other animals were okay and the kids enjoyed but i'd say the outside playground takes over more than the animals. The inside play area was sufficient but definatley not enough tables for the amount of people in there. It is good value for money, around 2/3 hours max depending on how long you want to play outside, however not sure we would return again for what's there. On the leaflet there's alpacas but there were none there so not sure why they are on the leaflet.

visited you with our three grand daughters, aged 11,8 &7,
it was our first visit. They really enjoyed the trip, the facilities are excellent. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, especially the young lady who showed the snake. The butterfly house was beautiful along with all the other areas. We were lucky as it was dry and sunny which allowed them to play on the outdoor play area where we had our packed lunch , favorite was the zip wire.
Thank you.

Better for younger kids, we we to relive our childhood for the afternoon. Can be done in a couple hours. Take your own binoculars for the bird walk at the end.
Also wear good grip shoes for the butterfly house as the floors are often wet.

Our visit was on a rainy day outside of the school holidays, and found it to be quite a small attraction that I imagine would get very busy, very quickly.

It was a bit of a confusing layout, and many of the individual areas are quite small. A single pushchair was struggling to get around in some places, and there was a lot of backtracking to get from one area to the next.

Cannot comment on the outdoor areas as it was raining quite heavily and we stayed inside - they did appear to have an extensive adventure playground for the older children that we could see on the way in

Spent a couple of hours here with our toddler, pleasantly surprised. Park itself was well looked after & staff were friendly and approachable. Lots of bugs and insects to see, butterfly house was lovely. Not many more animals outside but there is a large play area inside & out which u can take your own picnic to, which is included in the price. All in all a lovely little day.
