My two children (13 and 8) and I spent a brilliant couple of hours here today. The gaol is restored beautifully and there is the right balance of written information and exhibits. Woman at the ticket office was very helpful and friendly.

We were lucky the day we went it wasnt raining but would be good if it was. Not a lot to do in Ruthin so nice place to visit. The history is great and we really enjoyed it. Good place for children too.

Great value for money. Lots of interesting information to read, listen, touch and a great area for children to get involved in drawing dressing up. Staff very informative when asking questions regarding the history of the Prison.

£5.00 per adult entrance fee. Go to Nant Clwyd Y Dre 1st and you get 20% off. Well worth it. Very interesting and informative with audios. I got frightened twice!!! Really friendly and cheerful staff.

We were in Ruthin for the afternoon and during our walk around came across the Gaol. My husband stayed outside with our dog as I wanted to have a look around. The £5 adult admission fee is reasonable. The lady at the desk was very helpful in finding me the correct language map, going as far as coming to find... More

Really enjoyed Ruthin Gaol. Nice couple selling tickets. Very well set out, you can see inside the cells and there are real accounts of days gone by. Quite eerie inside. Excellent value for just £5

I have passed it so many times and this time thought lets have a nosey . Well worth the small admission fee of £5. How hard it must of been for our ancestors tough times.

We visited here near closing time and after there had been a day assigned especially for school children. Considering this must have been quite draining, all of the staff were still enthusiastic and really accommodating. Very good value and an interesting place to visit, highly recommended.
