Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Found this by accident at the back of a charity shop.
Quite informative, never seen a Spitfire Merlin engine before or looked up close into a Spitfire cockpit.
Very good 👍

To know what to expect - it's a second-hand/charity shop and the Spitfire stuff is behind a curtain at the back.

I think 'museum' is pushing it, at least at this stage though I understand that's the aspiration.

Having said that, there is part of Spitfire fuselage including the cockpit and a good chunk of engine, plus other bits and pieces, so there's certainly stuff of interest, especially if your are REALLY into Spitfires.

If you only have a casual interest I'd say it's worth popping in for a look - it's free after all - but I wouldn't suggest travelling miles.

Should be closed and the few bits sent to an actual museum rather than a corner in a charity shop on the main high street. We drove for an hour to get there for literally a corner in a shop. Very very disappointing

Whilst I don’t live locally to the museum I do frequently visit the area from my home town in Worcestershire.

Having recently had a baby and knowing some of my grandfather’s possessions had been donated to the museum I was keen to visit to see them again with my own eyes.

Upon visiting the items were no where to be seen. The person my father gave them to was not in the shop that day but my Dad tried to make conversation with the gentleman on the till. He couldn’t have been less interested in speaking to my Dad. He didn’t look up from his keyboard once. Incredibly disrespectful. And just dismissed it by saying the items were probably upstairs in a pile. I’m really heartbroken that these items I’m PROUD of are sat in a pile. Rather than being shown to share with the public. What a waste of time it was to donate them and now I’m left wondering if I’ll ever see them again or be able to show them to my son.

Dear pin_1979 I was surprised to receive your visit report and can assure you I have started to try and identify the volunteer you spoke to and therefore ask you what time and date did you visit us. We take lots of donations like yours and unfortunately at the moment we do not have the space to exhibit them but it is our objective to do so and to honour the commitment we gave to your Grandfather. On behalf of the Trustees of the Aviation Heritage Foundation I apologise for the bad experience you had when visiting our museum and promise to take steps to ensure it doesn't happen again. What a surprise in the middle of the high st a tiny charity shop houses parts of a Spitfire, well worth a visit that have a long term project to rebuild it ( can't see it happening to be honest, but good luck) the volunteer was full of stories well worth chatting with.

We really didn’t know what to expect here, but the whole family found the exhibit very interesting. A lovely addition to a stroll around Haverfordwest Town.

Found out about this when we were looking for activities to do whilst waiting for my son and his family to arrive. Apparently, this 'museum' has moved location twice recently and is now in a most unlikely location. At the back of a charity shop in a street of shops. It is not really a museum but a workshop where a spitfire is being painstakingly reconditioned with e view of eventually flying it. Currently, it consists of a stripped down fuselage missing the engine plus lots of bits. What made it all worthwhile was the long chat we had with the very knowledgeable man who was working on it. We spent a very interesting half an hour talking to him and came away much more informed than we went in.
