We were out with very young children (one being 6 months old) and we felt safe throughout while really enjoying the experience around Ramsey Island. Ffion and Sophie were great, very informative and we saw a load of animals. We loved seeing the seal pups and the porpoises. Thanks!

We were driven out to the caves and beaches Ramsey Island, and a very competent guide told us all about the seals, birds, and dolphins, some of which came up to the rib to see us. We went toto caves and throught narrow passageways and were shown and told so much interesting things. The colours, even on a cloudy day, were brilliant. A safe, fun and exhilarating trip. Highly recommend.

A fantastic way to spend our last morning in Pembrokeshire. The boat trip was really well organised and handled. The weather was very good which helped but the boat and crew were obviously well capable of dealing with anything. It being late in the season (early September) the sea birds were thinning out but we still saw plenty of variety and got a good impression of a gannet colony with the sights, sounds and smells! Visiting the Smalls lighthouse - the most remote in the UK - was great and being entertained by two pods of Common Dolphins (including at least two of this year's babies) on the way back was really special.

Had a wonderful boat trip around Ramsey today with two lovely ladies. Saw lots of seals, their pups and some porpoises. Was a great pace, with lots of information of the island and wildlife. The guy who supported us on the boat was also extremely friendly. Was 1.5 hr long, longer then some of the other boat trips offered. It went so quick. Thank you, we loved it and will be back 😁

Did the Grassholm – Seabird, Whale & Dolphin Expedition, two adults and our 11 year old. And it was amazing. The spectacle of the gannets was awesome - even though their numbers were depleted by bird flu. We also saw Cormorants, Manx shearwaters, kittiwakes and of course herring gulls. The highlight for us was the Cetaceans. We were lucky enough to see porpoises in the bay on the way out, then the dolphins. They were feeding at first so more focused on their breakfast than us. But later, they became inquisitive and swam alongside the boat for maybe 15 minutes; a breathtaking spectacle. Final thrill was the seals bobbing around in the Sea and lounging on the rocks - our son was blown away! The crew on the boat were excellent, skipper Ffion and Arlo (?) were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. And Bramble the dog (who stayed on the quay) was adorable! This is our second trip with Falcon and will not be out last.

Chris & Mike from Falcon Boats were excellent & knowledgeable. A great experience on our doorstep whereby we saw dolphins, porpoises & a multitude of different breeds of birds. Nature at its best. Great value for money boat trip on the Pembrokeshire coast.

We opted for the Ramsey Island 1.5hour special trip as we hadn’t been on a trip like this before and we wasn’t sure how we’d like it… but… it was fantastic! Definitely could have done longer.

We picked a rather overcast and windy day for our trip but the crew opted to slightly change the route to make it more enjoyable for us.

We got to see plenty of wildlife, seals, pups amongst lots of other interesting things. The crews knowledge sharing of the area (the sea, wildlife and surroundings) was very insightful and added to our experience. We learnt a lot of new fun facts!

We even had a fun experience back to land crashing through the waves!!! We will definitely be back!!! Thankyou!

I received a birthday present of a trip around Ramsey Island with Falcon Boats of St David’s, Pembrokeshire, Wales. I did something similar some years back and was delighted to receive a similar gift. Booking with Falcon Boats was easy enough through their website and I chose a suitable days time and arranged to embark at St Justian’s old life boat station. There was free parking in nearby lay-bys but these disappear quick on busy days in high season.

My trip was in a RHIB boat. They are fast and bouncy and you have to be prepared to receive a face full of spray, but that is what makes the trip so good! We travelled around to the north western part of Ramsey Island. Sea state was too heavy to go around to the south west side , so we went around to the sheltered side on the east, seeing a diverse bird life of gannets, razorbills, shags, cormorants and oystercatchers. The high point of the trip though was the grey seals we saw. There were dozens of bulls, cows and several new pups which still had their white coats. We went close enough to see them but kept a decent distance from them so as not to disturb them. Falcon Boats operate along ethical guidelines to protect wildlife.

I and several others expressed sadness that the trip had to end, so that is a good endorsement! Will no doubt do it again, and will probably use this operator. They’re good!

Thank you so much for your lovely review, and I’m very glad you enjoyed your trip. The weather has been challenging this year and it’s not unusual that we can’t get all the way around the island when the weather does this. We are, however so lucky with the wealth of wildlife we have on the sheltered side of the island. We work very hard to ensure we don’t disturb the wildlife and are proud that we were instrumental in the introduction of a marine code that has now become industry standard. It’s always reassuring when passengers appreciate this. We hope to see you again. 😊

What a wonderful morning we had! Our skipper and guide were SO knowledgable and lovely, we saw so much wildlife, and learned much about the local area. Our kids are 5 and 7 and they both absolutely loved it. Caves and seals were the big hit! If you want to go on a boat trip whilst in the area, I can’t recommend Falcon Boats enough.
