Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved this trip to Ramsey Island. Have been on a few and this was one of the happiest and most interesting - even though out of season for some of the more spectacular wildlife, we had a brilliant guide (who fixed a broken engine at sea!) and leaned loads about geology, tides and plant life as well as seeing some great birds and having some close-up seal experiences. Highly recommended.

I've done this trip twice now. The first time with friends and the second time with friends and my older teen children. We had a great time. We loved the experience of sea fishing, seeing some amazing wildlife and the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. I would definitely recommend this trip.

We popped in to the shop in St Davids as we happened to be down in the area. We were met by Matt, whobwas very helpglful and explained that without a minimum of 6, the Skomer tour could not go ahead and he currently had 2 other people booked on. He took our number and said he wpuld ring if a further 2 booked on. 10 minutes later, we had a call confirming the trip. We popped back and paid begore heading 10 minutes down the road to St Justinians where the trip leaves from. The boat is basic but perfectly functional and Ian, the skipper, and Chris, the entertainment and information, were great. The 2 hour trip flew by and was enjoyable, educational and goos fun. Would highly recommend it.

Blue Shark crew , Chris and Ian were great. Chris has wonderful knowledge of wildlife and shared it in amusing and delightful way. Ian’s boat handling ensured we got best view of wildlife we came across, whilst ensuring our comfort and safety for trip. Saw amazing views of Skomer and Ramsey Island with auks, puffins, porpoises, seals, shearwaters, gannets and more. Thoroughly recommend

The boat was almost full but we got a seat at the back for our trip out. We saw some seals and pups but I am afraid we didn’t hear much of the commentary as the guide did not use a microphone and his voice was drowned out by the engines. Similar we didn’t make any sense of the safety talk either as we headed out from the shore.

Expensive trip not the best we have been on in the UK. Why they don’t use a microphone is beyond me. Got some nice pics.

Went on the thousand island expedition with my partner and our 5 year old son. The views around Ramsey island were amazing and the thousand island expedition staff were great and knowledgeable about the island.

We saw lots of seals and birds but didn’t see any red deer or the pony that’s apparently on the island.

If your planning on visiting the island make sure you take £4 with you for the car park at St Justinians.

There is also a shop on the island to hire sight seeing kits for kids and also the option to buy a cup of coffee, tea, or a bar of chocolate.

Amazing trip. Rang up a week before and advised due to weather conditions ring up a few days before. Did this and no problem booking appreciated the honesty of the company

The tour was fab we was a party of eight youngest was 2 and 3 years old. The staff looked after us and the guide very knowledgeable. Definellty worth the money for a day out. It was a 90 minute tour but we walked from Pemcanan Camp site and made the day off it..

We saw purpoises / seals / Baby seals a variety of wildlife and saw ramsey Island which is a very beautiful island. The Guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the island and history.

Fabulous tour fabulous day and a lovely coffee stop at the top of the steps. Take cash as the Welsh cakes are delicious! Fantastic and friendly!

Fantastic 90 minutes around Ramsey Island today. We were well informed and entertained while on the boat. The scenery and wildlife is breathtaking and well worth the price. You need cash while here for the car park £4 and tea/coffee kiosk. During certain times and days the lifeboat station is open for you to browse around and see the boats that these brave people use to rescue those unfortunate to get in trouble around our coast.

We booked the ferry to Ramsey Island for the day, followed by a round island trip at 4.30pm. The whole day was fantastic. Highly recommend the round island boat tour. Not only did we see lots of seals but also learned a huge amount about the history and geology of Ramsey. Fab day.
