    Hidden gem
Had a lovely afternoon visiting the ‘The Lost Words’ exhibition and then on to the ‘Ragna’ exhibition which was all for free. Really appreciate that as a family we could see both exhibitions. Great cafe on site, good food.

    Enjoyable lunch
A small group of us, on visiting the gallery decided to stay for lunch. The cafe was very busy, but after a short wait we found a table. The menu was interesting and the specials sounded good. We all chose different things and none of us were disappointed. Lunch was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful

    Needs a bit of TLC
Nothing especially wrong with the centre but it felt a bit flat. The cafe was ok but a bit ordinary. The WC’s were clean but both ladies and gents had run out of paper by lunchtime and as the toilets in the carpark were closed, it meant all arriving visitors had nowhere else to go. Good to see that there are five spaces in the carpark for campervans. St David’s is quite tight for larger vehicles.

Lots of interesting things to see at Oriel y Parc plus a good cafe and shop selling a good range of products and souvenirs. We particularly enjoyed the RNLI exhibition.

On a wet Sunday morning we went hoping for breakfast at 10.00am - went up to the counter where we were largely ignored and asked if we could have a table. Rather abrupt lady said they were busy and there were no tables. We noticed a teenager finishing up his full cooked breakfast on a table of 3 so thought we'd wait. He quickly finished up, grabbed his plates etc and headed off to the kitchen to then emerge carrying a plate of food he served to a table! Right - a member of staff eating a full breakfast on a table of 3 in prime service time - hmm ok! Just felt like we were an inconvenience, the staff knew we were hoping for a table and we were made to feel like we'd turned up uninvited to someone's house for a meal. We live nearby - won't be coming back in a hurry :( Very poor!

This visitor centre is a great place to go for local information, B and B bookings along with a good selection of books, cards and gifts sourced locally or about local people and places. Staff always very pleasant and helpful. Lovely joint exhibition by local artists Clive Gould and Graham Brace. Looking forward to returning to see Sarah Earl’s work later in the year.

Not worth a special visit.
Staff didn’t seem particularly enthusiastic to our questions about what there was to see at the centre.
The cafe was busy and waited to be served but eventually gave up waiting

We came in from the hiking trail, very wet. It was too early to get checked in to our place so we hung out here and learned about the town and the area. Lots of information and things to look at. It was very enjoyable. We did not try the café.

It wasn’t even that busy but after 15 minutes of waiting I gave up. Hardly worth typing about really but the basics are really important and you have to get them right.

The actual city of St David was a little disappointing. It was very busy and not many places to actually sit down and have a meal. We eventually went to the oriel y parc which is a building at the entrance to the city. We had a nice lunch and then went around the exhibition gallery of art and natural history/ archaeology. A very enjoyable hour.
