Lovely place. Free car park and plenty of room to park. Horses roaming free which was lovely to see. Nice boating marina , lots of ducks and swans, you can take s boat out on the lake . Crannog to visit which is also free....More

We visited specifically for the Welsh Crannog Centre. There is no access to the crannog itself but the viewing platform has plenty of information about both the Crannog and the lake's history. Its a great place for watching waterfowl although with the schools activity centre...More

Lovely place to spend some time. Plenty of benches around and walking. Swans were nesting and was lucky to see one of them rearranging her eggs before laying back down on them. Nice to watch all the ducks, swans and geese etc on the lake....More

It's not a definitive answer but I would suggest its most of the year. I was there in October and there was camping available
