The waitstaff was very good at explaining the beers and food and they also give you a little booklet to help explain the differences in their beer. We had 3 small mexican pizzas to share and they were wonderful. We went in for a very late lunch so it wasn't crowded. I loved the ambiance of the place.

We went for lunch with friends 2 days ago and really loved this place. Everyone love what they ordered. The hamburgers were great with home made buns and I had the fish and chips. Some of the tastiest mild fish I've eaten (besides halibut in Alaska! ). I tasted the pale ale and thought it was very good and I'm... More

up stairs is a pub, downstairs is a little higher end. very crowed, good food, no table service. A real hopping place. had the meat pie which was terrific and an ESB, which was also good. my wife had a Seared Tuna Salad and really liked it. no parking in area, if you do expect to pay $20/hr.

I have been going to 4 Pines for several years so was excited to try the new downstairs area. However for some reasons despite it being empty they didn't want us to enter if we were only having a drink and rudely told us to go upstairs. There are plenty of other places in Manly that are only too happy... More

During a recent stay in Sydney, my husband and I had planned to spend the afternoon in Manly Beach. Being a beer lover, the first stop on my husband's list was lunch and drinks at 4 Pines Brewing Company. They are located right on the Esplanade, just a few steps from the ferry terminal. We entered the building and were... More

We went to Four Pines for our work Melbourne Cup celebrations and although the drinks were free flowing the food was such a let-down. It was a canapé style serving and we were served a very fishy crab sandwich with some crab shells, some sashimi, sushi, vegetarian puff pastry, chorizo buns and a sad looking chicken and a small sweet... I have spent two weeks in Australia and this pub was the foremost friendly place. The food is also great.

we went there for lunch after our visit to Manly beach. We liked it a lot. The food, drinks, service and the atmosphere although it does not have the best view. Ask for the t shirt and buy one if you like the place.

This is some of the best beer being produced in Australia right now. The Pale is my 100% go to beer. Great venue next to the Manly Wharf - I was in Sydney just for a weekend recently and hopped a ferry to Manly for lunch and a couple of pints. Very very enjoyable way to take in Sydney's attractiveness... More

Staying in Manly

Neighbourhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
