Grea walk within easy reach of Manly, you can walk or bike or bus the road or thake the trail up from the beach. Great lookouts and interesting history and buildings/tunnels to explore. Get those walking legs out.
I can’t believe there weren’t more people doing this walk from
where the Manly ferry lands to North Head and checking out the stunning views at the various lookouts
We will def come back as we ran out of time to see the tunnels and...More
The lookouts in North Head are nothing short of amazing. The walk is super easy & about an hour walk from Manly Ferry Wharf! You could also rent a bike to get up there faster. The lookouts has me in awe. Wow. After I saw...More
It is very easy to overlook the Memorial Walk if you are up at North Head. That’s because it is hidden away, up behind the Visitors Centre but it is a hidden gem.
It is a beautiful, paved walk through natural bushland and overlooking Sydney...More
We entered the area from above the parking lot near Shelly Beach — following a trail with little signage, other than warnings about it being private property and to stay away from the edge of the cliff. We finally reached a high stone wall with...More
This is an excellent place to walk but allow a few hours if you wish to see all the lookouts and places along the various tracks. The view of South Head and the city are excellent on a nice day. Take the coastal walk from...More
Take a beautiful wander from the Manly Ferry through the mall, up the beach and then on to the North Heads Sanctuary. It's a great way to reconnect with nature and yourself.
Stop and reflect at the cemetery and enjoy the art along the way!...More
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants
as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.

No the walk at North Head Sanctuary is free. Make sure you call into the visitor centre at Manly to collect a map and at the visitor centre at North Fort to learn about the history of the site.
Enjoy your visit!
