Short easy walk, past the army base and Hornby Lighthouse. Can be windy and wet in winter, but worth the effort.

We took this trail after having had lunch at Doyle's Restaurant on the beach below. This was a very enjoyable walk to reach the trail which was interesting and enabled us to stand at the heads of Sydney Harbour where the Sydney-Hobart yachts race through...More

An esy walk and a perspective of the harbour and Sydney heads most don't get to see. Loved the restored lighthouse-keeper's cottage (shame it's not open) and the old WWII gun emplacements

A great way to get a fresh perspective of Sydney Harbour and the heads. It's an easy walk where you get lovely views of the city, north head and the open ocean - all in their magnificent glory.

You need good mobility and fitness to walk from Camp Cove Beach on the South Head Heritage Trail around to Hornby Lighthouse. There are great views of various boats enjoying the water.

There are several places this heritage walk can start but it takes in beaches, colonial properties, former military buildings and sites, lots of flora and fauna and is not too long. Be sure to bring your swimming costumes because a dip in the sea afterwards...More
