I completed this walk on a nice cool morning, when I arrived there was 1 other car. By the time I got back the car park was full, around 20 cars, so get in early! This is an easy track to navigate with good clear...More

We did this walk in two hours in the heat. A lovely benched track with the part from the Saddle onwards blessed with great views. What a treat it'll be when the Grampian Peaks Track of which this will form a part is completed!!

This walk was just a little bit harder than Mt Sturgeon, but still doable for an individual of medium fitness levels. The views were incredible at a number of different spots along the track. Well worth a visit.

We hadn't done Mt Abrupt for a while and I had forgotten what a lovely walk it was. 2.5 hours for the return trip including breaks the track is in excellent conditions. The wild flowers were lovely. Great views, we did it on a miserable...More

This is probably one of my favourite walks but it is not for the faint of heart. Over a four hour return walk it definitely tests your aerobic capacity but the view is just worth is. The path is quite well made but lots of...More

2.5hrs of steady walking to get up and back and including 10mins rest at top. Lovely mix of walking through scrub and over rocks, many glimpses along spine of Grampians and over town of Dunkeld. No scrambling involved but might get slippery in the wet....More

if you are looking for a good challenging climb, this is the place to be. It's easy to find the path and stick to it, but it can be slippery as there are a lot of bare rock surfaces. Definitely a must do!

I would definitely recommend this hike. I was not as fit last year when we took this hike as a spare of the moment decision on our last day in the Grampians last year. It is a fairly strenuous hike, but can be done if...More

The Southern tip on the Grampians. Mt Abrupt is a beautiful sight and can be enjoyed from nearby Dunkeld. If in the area, go and enjoy the wonderful views.
