Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Boroka Lookout affords you the ability to not only enjoy some fantastic views over Halls Gap and the valley but it also provides you with view of the lake sitting in the extinct volcanic crater. This was one of the best ways to see how the Grampians were formed. Easy access to the viewing platform with plenty of parking.

My wife and I drove here to have a look during our recent holiday in Grampians where we stayed for 3 nights in a holiday Villa.
The views are very scenic. We were here midweek off peak season when there were very few people around. Easy to get a car park and easy to take photos with no one else around.

A meandering drive through forests and mountains leads towards this picture perfect lookout overlooking Halls Gap and the valley below. The place was bustling and one of the lookout platforms was closed so we were all jostling for positions to get the perfect shot. This deterred slightly from the experience. I thought of climbing over the fence to take a picture but apparently that's where someone recently had fallen down the cliff.

Boroka Lookout is a 12km drive from the town of Halls Gap, up a winding mountain, but worth the view. If you aren’t able to walk to somewhere like The Pinnacle, Boroka Lookout is just a very short walk from the carpark. They were doing a planned burn in the valley not far from the lookout, which you can see in the pictures.

This look out required basically no walking (easy access) and has an amazing view.
However if it comes in cloudy you won’t see a thing. We visited twice this week, once it was all white and cloud and the second it was clear & a beautiful view.

Finding this place was a bit difficult for us to find, as google maps kept trying to take us off road into the middle of nowhere. However the struggle was well worth it. This view was one of our favourites during our short stay in the Grampians.
You can see mountains and lakes, and you are surrounded by trees.
The car park has plenty of spaces, and most people only have short stay there.

Boroka lookout is a short drive on bitumen road from Halls Gap. The lookout provides a splendid view of Halls Gap and the surrounding country side. Well worth the drive.
A note of warning not to get over the fences for that photo shot as there is a very long drop. Unfortunately some visitors have found out the hard way

This is a very easy place to get to from the main road. We were there on a relatively quiet day so had most of the place to ourselves. The road to the lookout is twisty but okay if you don't speed along. Not for motorhomes or campers I would think. I was using a walking stick at the time of our visit, recent hip surgery, and had no problems getting around. The views at the parking lot are spectacular and there is a short trail to even better views. Well worth taking this side trip.

Read some reviews that the sunrise is beautiful from here so decided to have a look myself. The drive up from Halls Gap was nice - very quiet at that time of the morning of course so lots of roos standing about. Saw an owl. The lookout is quite nice. Lots of parking available - only one other car came while I was there. It was really beautiful to see all the lakes and the peaks of the mounts from this spot. I could see what I think was One Tree Hill in Ararat from here - and also all the way to Langi Ghiran which was lovely. Lake Bellfield looks spec from here as well. Saw lots of kingfishers and cockatoos as well. It is wheelchair accessible.

This is a walk you can do without the need or a car; as you can start and end the walk in Halls Gap itself.
A nice half-day option, that is not too hard-core for those who are not too experienced with hiking.
The walk is steep in places, so you do need a reasonable level of fitness. That said the track is well-maintained and if you find it too much, then you can always return to base!

hi, how far walk from the car park ? (we going with 11 months baby)
Written 15 August 2018
It is very close, the car park has 2 lookouts both are a very short walk down a path going onto a platform each, there is a comfortable size fence and hand rails both sides.

Heading up end of January 2018 and just wondering if this walk is ok for a 72 year old ? Want to make sure mum can do it.
Thanks
Written 13 January 2018
yes - its probably the easiest walk in The Grampians - when I went I was recovering from surgery - could only walk short distances on level well formed paths
