Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The gentleman at the desk was a wealth of information. Glad we dropped in. Provided us with maps and gave us family appropriate things to do

Was not very informative telling us much, I had to ask questions. Maybe just got him on a off day or maybe we seemed ok.

Visited Halls gap after a few days of heavy rain and staff were very helpful identifying which roads and trails were inaccessible. Provided alternative trails as the ones we planned were closed. Friendly and upbeat staff during adverse conditions.

Visited once to get info on bush walks.
There was a hikers booth available that offered excellent information .
Lots of other options to explore and discuss. Very tidy and well presented. Functioned with information :)!

Dear Taqueeney,
Thanks for leaving a review regarding your experience at the Halls Gap Visitor Information Centre.
The Hikers Booth is a relatively new addition from our colleagues at Grampians Peaks Walking Company so I am really pleased to find that you found the information valuable.
We do work hard to keep the centre tidy and full of up to date information so it's great that this showed in your experience.
I do hope you enjoyed your visit to our beautiful region.
Kind Regards

Most unhelpful attendant I've ever struck ..... he was not at all interested in our needs - offering no suggestions, other than providing us a very basic map - which ended up being inadequate anyway.
Such a shame as this area was interesting & offered a lot ..... but we only found that out after we left & visited the Stawell information centre.
He was probably a lovely young man, but he needs to get out of a service role!

The information centre was good but disappointed with the staff. Little bit ambivalent and not super helpful.
Fortunately lots of brochures and board with maps. Plus across the road is great info as well near the pool and playground.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking out the front.

A modern and spacious centre with helpful staff and many ideas about things to do. An added bonus is a local wine tasting area that will assist you to book a wine tour of Seppelts at Great Western. Wine on sale too.
A good starting point for your stay.
