Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I had visited this place 10 years ago and it was nice back then, so we decided to visit again as the holiday Villa that we stayed in for 3 nights during our recent holiday, was near this place.

This place looks badly maintained and a bit shabby. We walked out of the building and walked along the 3 walking trails, including the Fyans Creek loop walk which is a few kilometres.

During that long walk, we saw a few kangaroos and kookaburras. That was nice to see.

Masquerading as an abandoned building in broad wing shape of Cockatoo “Brambuk”.
Third time in five years attempting a visit. First time just “closed” for no reason in school holidays,
second time closed for Dandemic virus though Halls Gap region not in lockdown.
This time open but really just a souvenir shop with Parks Victoria attendants.
Informed the Cultural Centre was not open “as being renovated”. Ok, I’ll take a look anyway.
No sign of any renovating, just locked up and appearing ghostly uncared for.
Provided literature for my garden walk indoctrinating how “Parks Victoria recognises the
devastation caused by colonisation to Traditional Owner Communities … etc.”
Guess that doesn’t allow curious questions why another handout states they were
funded $5.8 million in 2021 for urgent, immediate works … Hmm 2024 and .. nothing to be seen.
Smells like another “can’t recall” project by Minister Pakula’s Dept. of Jobs, Precincts & Regions.
No transparency, no timeline or project accountability. Absent Voice.
Some associated displeasure here rooted in other parts of Grampians range
shut down and track blocked for vague indigenous assessments.
Again nothing’s ever dated … unspoken specifications & closed till we bloody feel like it.

Went with my wife, we walked around before entering the shop.
While there not one person came up and helped. One lady was sitting on a chair the other on the phone.
We were going to make some purchases.
We walked and thought that we would have a coffee. Shebwas friendly NOT we were waiting at the counter and she kept walked passed and when she finally served us needed extra clothing fr9m the warmth coming from her.
This place needs to hire people that like helping people and not just a pay packet.
Don't think I will be back again.

No notices online or outside until we went into the Information Centre and asked, to find that the Culture Centre is closed for renovations, disappointed.

You would think they would have this advice on their website or FB pages!

Worth stopping by to get some great information about the area. There are some indigenous displays and a calendar of the activities held at the centre. I also purchased some lovely gifts.

Main cultural centre still closed, doesn’t look like it will be opening any time soon. Cafe also closed. Small gift shop and toilets open.

Pity as would have loved to learn more about the Aboriginal heritage of the area. A few information boards there though.

By all senses it is closed. Only the shop and entrance was open even though it had been recommended by the Tourist Information Centre.

As others have reviewed, the main gallery is closed while the government works out how to spend the money to upgrade it.
The visitor's centre is open and does have some useful information and the staff are helpful.
The area around the centre is worth a walk around.

Staff was very helpful and explained about the area and told us about the places to visit to see aboriginal art. Grampians have the largest collection of aboriginal art dating back to more than 20000 yrs.
There is a big cultural centre but it was closed for repairs .
Overall it is a nice place and hopefully it will become more active after the repairs are completed
