Definitely go to the National Parks & Cultural Centre for any information you need about the area. They are very friendly and helpful. It really beats the Information Centre hands down. Also bring some extra time for just the Cultural Centre.

Really enjoyed the Brambuk cultural centre. The information on traditional culture, land and animal management practises, and on colonisation impact and responses was fantastic. It really communicated the continuous history and present day culture, people, adaptation and challenges in a realistic and informative way, without romanticism and with great respect and strength. Recommend!

I just popped in to get an idea on how much it would cost to get a permit for a camping spot in the National Park in the Grampians. There was a couple who were there before me, who were going for 2 nights to the same place I wanted to visit, but mine was at a later date. On... More

Whenever we go on a holiday we try to find out a bit about the Indigenous history of the area; it just seems like the respectful thing to do, so it was great to be able to access this centre and find out about the seasons, lore etc. from the Indigenous point of view. The kids loved it and found... More

This is a 2.5 km loop that starts behind the Brambuk Visitor Center on the outskirts of Halls Gap. The beginning of the trail is through a Eucalypt forest and next to the creek we saw a few very large mushrooms. The trail continues through grassy fields near private property and it then returns along a mountain slope. I got... More

In the cultural center, you can learn a lot about aboriginal culture - not only from the white point of view. The insights into the indigenous culture are fascinating, but sometimes also depressing . The location is very nice as well, there are several possibilities for short, relaxing walks.

Well maintained, well staffed cultural centre allows for a good interpretation of indigenous life in the Grampians. A must stop before seeing the aboriginal cave art in the area

As an aboriginal person Iappreciate the vast and in depth knowledge and education that this place has to offer. If you find yourself here, the Dreamtime Theatre is a must do activity; it only cost $5 pp to view two short movies. Customer service was fantastic, all staff were polite, welcoming, respectful, and happy to help with an queries. Definitely... More

Visited during our stay and so happy I did. Lots of history about the area. Fascinating to find out more about the Aboriginal people and their lives, such sad history! Well laid out with plenty of opportunity to be more involved. Wonderful place for children to learn of the Aboriginal culture. Peaceful garden with lots of Australian native plants and... More
