Detoured to the lake on the way back to Halls Gap, and what a surprise.
Sandy beaches at the boat ramp and Angling Club. Sun casting shadows, of the once majestic gum trees in the water and such a peaceful and very pleasant place.
Went for a walk along the shore near the anglers club, saw a few wild flowers - sundews (Drosera), and orchids, but not much else to recommend it. Probably good for fishermen, in boats or using waders. Also might be nice for a bit of...More
This was s lovely park the grounds were very clean, nice gardensand constantly maintained. Just on the lake which was beautiful.
The amenities were the best I have used,
Spacious, with large showers cubical and all very clean.
We stopped to check out Lake Fyans recently when in the area, and were swooped several times by very large magpies. In July! The lake is OK, however do watch out for the territorial birds in the trees!
