Lake Bellfield is located south of the Grampians and is a popular tourist spot, known for its stunning panoramas, fishing and picnic spots. The lake is popular with swimmers in the warmer months and the setting is peaceful. If you're into fishing, bring your rod...More

With that being said we stopped here because we were driving past. There is a look out point and that's about it. Saw the lake from the mountain side which was impressive. Check it out if you're diving by.

I would love to go back here for sunrise or sunset. It was just amazing at 9am so I can't even imagine how much better it would be at other times. A must if you go to Halls Gap.

We stopped only briefly but it is a lovely place with plenty of picnic and fishing facilities. Birdlife seemed pretty good in the area too. Nice and close to the township for easy access.

The lake is massive and easily walkable for young and old. Visited during sunset get to see a wonderful sight. The lake is about 5 mins from centre of town.

Take a walk along the dam wall - always awe inspiring, has a sense of peace and tranquility. Once you have walked across the wall you can appreciate the full area.

I only went to the parking lot and had a brief walk. The lake is in a beautiful valley but the lake isnt that exciting itself. Only 5 minutes drive out of Halls Gap heading south on the main road

This delightful park is extremely popular during the school holidays and we found ourselves staying here the last two days of our holiday before heading home. There is an abundance of wildlife - parrots that will eat out of your hand, cockatoos that will, if...More

We enjoyed a picnic by the lake and letter in the day we walked across the dam which was very pleasant. Would recommend it as it is less busy than other attractions in Halls gap which were hectic over Easter.

We drove down to see Lake Bellfield, a short drive from Halls Gap. Boat ramp, picnic areas and you can walk across the dam wall. They have built a tower you can walk up one floor and history to dating the lake.

We went the first thing in the morning on a nice sunny Autumn day. The scenery on both sides; the mountain range and the lake gave us a feel of somewhere between Shangri-La and Jurassic aura to it. Loved that spot.
