We enjoyed a couple of the walks around the main features of Mount Eccles National Park - not just the volcanic crater and Surprise Lake, but also the lava valley and the lava bridge. There is useful information on site to explain the various features.

I have just done this walk, No it still the answer, track in poor condition needs serious maintenance. Grass up to wastes very poor weed control

I just found the parks webpage. Its $45 BUCKS a night with no drinking water or power. NO THANKS!!!
