We had not been to this market for many years and decided to visit the December market for Xmas presents. Word of advice - get there early and avoid the crowds. Hats off to the Lions Club and their volunteers who oversee the parking and $4 to a worthy cause. Stalls are great and we really liked the fact that... More

Even on a windy day this market had something for everyone. We picked up some Bromeliads on bark; really different! Lots of food options, plenty of crafts on display and enough sugar sweet foods to keep the local dentist in a job. Do it! $4 car park, $10 for food the rest on local produce.

It is a great morning out but the red hill market is fast becoming an expensive art and craft market with some veggies thrown in. The locals often shop at the smaller markets which focus more on food and plants rather than fancy wooden bird feeders and astounding exotic candles. (I do not wish to mock these people, just trying... More

Thanks for your review Zeppopilchard - out of the ordinary it sure is! While we do have fresh food, take away food and quite a few plant stalls we also love the handcrafted bird feeders, exotic candles and other creative products our stallholders come up with More

We have long talked about going to the Red Hill Market. Yesterday we went along on a cool morning with rain threatening. Well the rain stayed away and we had a lovely time. It is a big market spread over an expansive area with plenty in attendance. It never felt overcrowded and if you felt you needed a little time... More

Now over 40 years since the Red Hill Market started. The first market of its kind in Australia. Held on the first Saturday each month except during winter. A massive, and massively popular market. Get there early for breakfast or wait for some of the crowds to shop and leave then enjoy lunch. Choose from a vast array of food... More

if you like markets then this is a must with a wide variety of stall and goods on offer in very pleasant area. There is ample parking but the place gets busy and you may have to line up. There is some good stuff here but also a lot of junk as you might expect in a market of this... More

This market has just got too big and too busy. Now filled with too many stalls selling too much imported junk. Boneo, Tootgarook and other smaller markets are so mush more pleasant to stroll around on a Saturday morning.

The Red Hill Sunday Market is the best in the Peninsula. The variety of the products and the food stalls can please everyone children and adults alike. Has plenty of parking area and the entrance to the market is free. Make sure to choose a day with nice weather because most of the stalls are not in a covered area.

A rich diverse country market showcasing all that the Peninsula has to offer. Crafts, art, food, and hand made Muppets... what more do you need? Stretching around most of an oval, there was plenty on offer to keep all engaged and entertained. Looking forward to it's return.

It’s been a long time between visits to the Red Hill Market yet my natural sense of direction took me there without a map or GPS and memories of coming to the market in May with mist and fog swirling around me flooded back. Nestled amongst the back roads of the peninsula, this is one of the premier markets in... More
