We were lucky enough to be around for the February market and made aware of it by our accommodation. It has to be one of the best such events that we have attended, with a huge array of different stalls. We enjoyed a great flat white coffee and purchased a jar of eucalyptus honey to take home with us. Wish... More

We visited the Saturday market today and it took us by surprise! There were a lot of different stalls with something to tickle everyone's fancy. The parking is plentiful with volunteers accepting $4 to guide you in the right place to find a spot. ATM's are available for a $3.50 surcharge.

What a huge and varied market! We expected to go for an hour or so but we stayed the whole morning and did quite a bit of our Christmas shopping. Had coffee and morning tea wandering around and lunch later as well. Easy parking thanks to the wonderful Lions volunteers - well worth the $4 fee. Had to use the... More

Plug No. 184 Arthurs Seat Rd [Red Hill Recreation Reserve] into your sat nav to find the right location. We arrived at 9.45am Saturday (closes 1pm!) and there were already hundreds of cars parked around the ground - use the $4 Lions car parking service to park on an adjacent paddock with HEAPS of space. I love this market for... More

This is a large country market with more of an emphasis on arts and crafts. Second-most are stalls selling food items (sauces, cheeses, cookies, baked goods, etc). If you're hungry, you can also grab a bite to eat at several vendors. Although there were stalls selling fresh fruits and veggies, these were only a small percentage of the whole market.

We had not been to this market for many years and decided to visit the December market for Xmas presents. Word of advice - get there early and avoid the crowds. Hats off to the Lions Club and their volunteers who oversee the parking and $4 to a worthy cause. Stalls are great and we really liked the fact that... More

Even on a windy day this market had something for everyone. We picked up some Bromeliads on bark; really different! Lots of food options, plenty of crafts on display and enough sugar sweet foods to keep the local dentist in a job. Do it! $4 car park, $10 for food the rest on local produce.

It is a great morning out but the red hill market is fast becoming an expensive art and craft market with some veggies thrown in. The locals often shop at the smaller markets which focus more on food and plants rather than fancy wooden bird feeders and astounding exotic candles. (I do not wish to mock these people, just trying... More

We have long talked about going to the Red Hill Market. Yesterday we went along on a cool morning with rain threatening. Well the rain stayed away and we had a lovely time. It is a big market spread over an expansive area with plenty in attendance. It never felt overcrowded and if you felt you needed a little time... More
