We want everyone who visits to have a moment out of the ordinary. This philosophy extends to everything we do. A warm welcome. Finely crafted wine. Food that feeds the senses and the soul. Our chef's hat rated restaurant. A beautiful and bountiful property growing grapes, olives, fresh produce. A diverse and engaging setting for sculpture. We hope you love our little piece of paradise as much as we do.

We visited Montalto on a Monday. We were greeted warmly and taken to an excellent window table (great views) with white table linen, where the sun posed no problem over lunchtime. Food menu selection is not large but is interesting. My partner and I had the smoked duck for the entrée, with lamb and veal main courses to follow. All... More

Sadly we won't be returning here. Such rude staff and really not that special apart from the scenery. Overpriced, average food. We arrived on a busy 'lazy Sunday'... heaving with people to be told that there would be 'little chance' of a table. So we decided on coffees and cakes after our samplings... virtually pushed out of the way by... More

The winery itself is beautiful, as is the Piazza Cafe. We had a great lunch with great service. However, Stewart, who served us in the winery, was very rude and impatient. He made us feel undeserving of his time. He didn't treat other customers with the same disregard. This is a shame, as it dampened our overall experience. We therefore... More

I attend her in November on a beautiful sunny day and sat outside with a view overlooking the gorgeous Vineyard. We had a wine tasting followed by Lunch in the Piazza cafe (more of an outside restaurant) as you can dine in two different areas! Would recommend the cafe as more relaxed and can enjoy the serenity more! I would... More

Hi Cruseyyyy, Thanks for the review, glad to hear you enjoyed the visit. Out of interest, could you let us know which Dan Murphy you saw our wine in? We don’t sell to Dan’s so we would like to follow this up. Hope to see you here again down the track. Regards, Cameron. More

Montalto was always our go to restaurant when 10 minutes by tractor was not available, but no more. We dined at Montalto last night and were very disappointed. My duck and nectarine entree was not balanced correctly and should have been described as nectarine with a hint of duck. The 3 small pieces of duck was plated with a half... More

Very happy with my visit today , did the cellar door first and got great friendly attentive service even though it was very busy . Went through to the restaurant after and had a beautiful lunch , had three courses that were all delicious, the portions were small for main ( had the fish but the first course was very... More

A lunch experience on a sunny Decemeber day with a group of international visitors. Friendly staff, good food and good service. Wines were a little disappointing.

We finished off our year and treated our team to a lunch at Montalto's great restaurant. We were greeted and invited into the cellar door before lunch where we tasted a few of their lovely wines and oils. Lunch was great and the wines were even better. This is not our first time at Montalto and it wont be the... More

We stopped here after visiting the Ashcombe Maze with my parents and 2 young children for lunch. The service was fine and the food was quite nice. My parents had the duck which was generous and nice and soft. I ordered the pizza to share and it was lovely. What really let it down was I found part of an... More
