This rustic cellar door in the backstreets of Rutherglen is housed in a collection of rusty corrugated buildings. We have no Muzac and our idea of mood lighting is when the fluro doesn't come on. In spite of this the readers of Gourmet Traveller WINE magazine voted this as Australia's Top Cellar Door,in June/July 2012. We look forward to welcoming you.

Very laid back and easy winery to visit. Helpful staff to advise on all the wines and their history (as in the Gouais) and then let you serve yourself to taste the wines on offer. I really loved the Gouais and the Muscat.

What a change to walk into a winery and feel as though you were amongst friends. It is a help yourself situation and their wines and fortified were delicious. Lots of local artifacts to look at as well. A must place to visit.

To look at you would probably drive past this winery which is located in a tin shed in the back streets of Rutherglen. Please don't, we were recommended to taste their port & Muscat by a local so we did. The staff are very friendly & are happy for you to taste as many of the numerous varieties on the... More

We strolled to Chambers along the train trail from Rutherglen, and this place is certainly a must to visit. Welcoming cellar door with the unique self-service tasting. Huge range, and very reasonably priced table wines. Try the rare Gouais variety, which cannot be found anywhere else in Australia, However, the fortified wines are second to none (check out the Halliday... More

If you're lucky Bill Chambers will be there for a chat about wine, weather, Rutherglen and the Universe in his wonderfully rustic winery. The only self-service cellar door experience in Rutherglen. A big variety and you can help yourself to a taste of all of them! Not all the wines are exceptional, but their muscats and muscadelle (tokay) are the... More

Chambers Rosewood winery never disappoints. I have been coming here since the late 1970's. There is always a large range of wines, some really good, some just OK. All reasonably priced. The winner is as always the great range of fortified wines on offer. Today the winners were the Grand Reserve Muscat and the Rare Muscat. The best of the... More

This is my second visit to Chambers. A quaint 'tin shed' cellar door belies some extraordinary fortified wines made here. If you are after table wines, then Chambers have some cheap and cheerfulls as well. But it is their exceptional Muscat and Tokay for which they are famous. Even their low end wines are pleasurable, however it it the Grand... More

Very low key , great tasting wines and affordable prices . They never force you into anything it is what it is ,9 out of ten times though you leave with at least one bottle and if its in stock some homemade lemon butter or marmalade or chutney .

This was our third visit to Chambers Rosewood in 3 years. The cellar door is genuinely rustic, and feels like the real deal. The staff are super friendly - feels almost like one (very) big family business. The table wines were all good, and the prices are so affordable - a rarity in today's wine marketplace. Bravo for not over-inflating... More
