It's worth dropping to pay your respects and to enjoy the almost-maritime look of this war memorial clock tower.

As it is in the main street you cant miss it as you drive through Woodend. Not a particularly pretty piece of architecture but it certainly stands out as unique!

You can't miss it, and you can't do much except look at it. The best vantage point is from holgates with a pint in your hand. The clock tower doesn't do much, except tell the time. What more do you expect?

Its iconic. Its there. It's a guide to getting round Woodend. What else can I say? It is worth a look. Come for coffee in Woodend

It does look a bit strange with the upstairs balconies. The architecture is not of a really interesting period and the view is spoiled by a big power pole right up close to it.

You can't miss the Clock Tower as you drive into Woodend, no matter which direction you are coming from. It is perfectly positiioned and well-maintained, with easy pedestrian access if you want to read the names of those who died in that terrible war.

I'm not sure why we stopped off to see this. It was described as the Woodend clock tower and... well that's exactly what it is. No one could tell me why it wasn't just on the town hall.

Interesting tower suggestive of a lighthouse but in the midst of an inland country town. It serves as a memorial to locals who have served in wars as early as the Boer War and is quaint and surrounded by gardens in the middle of the...More

This isn't a sight to go out of your way to see but it's in the centre of the town and worth stopping for a moment as you pass because it's pretty.
