Housed in two historic buildings, - an 1860 Bank of Victoria, and a slab and shingle 1857 Manager's cottage. A large stored collection is separately housed.

Museum is astonishing in it's originality and presentation. The buildings attached are in kept as a remembrance to the family which resided there with original photos, items of clothing daily life artifacts and an atmosphere which is eerily reminiscing of the late 1800's. Well preserved...More

A Very Well Curated Museum. Located in the main street. Has displays of goldrush history. Sells books on local history including very detailed volumes about Yackandandah. Their jams and preserves are very good and keenly priced. Sold to help raise funds.

Great being able to move around a museum without ropes. Very friendly and relaxed. Well set out and you can see its cared for. A pleasure to visit.

This museum was really well set up, very interesting display of the ANZACs & the Bank manager cottage out the back was fascinating. Staff were really helpful & knowledgeable.
