    Wide variety of chocolate!
Our day tour brought us here. If you intend to have the ice cream, suggest head to queue up immediately as the queue never stops. The variety of chocolate are way too many and some are very interesting. Definitely a good place to get your chocolate souvenir. Card payment is acceptable.

    Calling all chocolate lovers
Spending the day in the Yarra Valley, first stop was the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie. Sitting on top of a hill with incredible views, this beautiful building houses the most extensive range of chocolate and chocolate related products I have ever seen. You can book into a chocolate workshop and tasting, sit and enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate in the Cafe (best hot chocolate I have ever had), watch the team hand making chocolates, or just wander around and be amazed on what the Chocolaterie has to offer. Highly recommend the truffle box, where you can choose your own mix from the truffle station, ideal gift idea as well.

    Simple trip
Pretty famous chocolate retail to serve your various kinds of chocolates with different spics and taste. You can get lots of free chocolates in the entrance gate. Just try them all and see which one you like. My kids and I are served to have the chocolate taste trial in a specific room. The staff is really professional with hospitality to introduce all kinds of chocolates to everyone. Kids really love them even though some are really sweet. You can see how the chocolates are made since there is a small kitchen inside. Moreover, it is the first time for us to see the cocoa tree. It is not really tall but I can tell how lively it is in this circumstance. You can get lots of useful information about the chocolates in the world too. Lots of kids enjoy their time with parents around this area. You can also enjoy the big volume ice cream before heading to next destination. Good place to spend 1 to 2 hours here. Have fun.

Good spot for lunch, lots of yummy treats available. Great views
The Chocolaterie is set in the middle of farmland and the drive to get there is interesting in itself. There's a huge parking area - if it's wet a raincoat or umbrella would be useful. We had a very nice pizza for lunch followed by a macaron - yummy. The chocolates looked lovely but we still had plenty left from previous purchases. Next time.......

My first reaction was to give this venue 3 stars but it is difficult times so I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and I will explain this later. We visited here today when the Corona Virus is at a point of closing the country down so what is an attraction normally with wall to wall people was sadly deserted, I will post photos so you can see. I think they have extended their eating area which was a good move because we have had trouble getting a table in the past but certainly not today. Our visit included a coffee and shared cake, all good and then a wander out to the shop to make a few purchases trying to share the love around. The quality of the chocolate here is always good and there is always an interesting variety, I think prices are a bit high but they normally don't have any problems selling their wares so I am sure they know what they are doing, however, I look at all their stock and the number of people in there and I think there will need to be sell offs. So my only complaint is the service we received when ordering our coffee. We stood at the counter and there were three or four staff members behind the counter and we were the only ones there and didn't receive any acknowledgement whatsoever. I think we expected something a bit better in the circumstances. When we were asked what we wanted the service was a bit lacklustre, and before you start thinking we are just complainers, we don't expect much just a smile and 'I will be there with you directly' would have been nice. xx

Would give zero if I could.
I know this place is for chocolate or ice cream, but they shouldn’t have a cafe if they can’t serve food you can eat.
Have been here a few times given relatively local, but today food was disgusting. Cheeseburger not edible at all, with the rock hard what should have been a meat pattie, then you have the roll getting soggy from all the onion and relish. Thought at least should be safe with a scone, but got a slab of dough instead. (Dirty dishes finally collected when dessert eventually delivered). I’m not sure why they make them this size, I’m sure people don’t expect, or want, this when ordering scones. Because of the size both our ‘slabs’ were raw inside. And given the food is so overpriced as it is, never again will we come here, so many more beautiful venues to eat at in the Yarra Valley, that is much better value for money. If you want to waste your money on inedible and over priced food this is the venue for you.

Visited during Easter break and it was extremely busy! Even with this all staff were helpful and polite. As we were visiting from interstate we hadn’t needed Covid certification and so had no documentation and so we’re not able to dine in. Rylie explained what was required so we left the line to fix the problem. On returning 30 mins later we were able to skip the very long que and Rylie once again was able to place us at a seat almost immediately. I can’t thank her enough for her time, patience and respect shown to us while in a highly stressful situation. She is a great representative for your business

Chocolatier by name and chocolates by nature (or something like that ). Dont take kids here unless you are prepared to spend a few dollars on sweets, as they will drag you around the mouth watering delicacies in every corner. We have been here a few times now, so we go in get our selection and try to get out, before we are tempted too much. If you are in the area visit, if only for the free samples

I've never left a bad review before but this place deserves one. My kids and I drove there to have morning tea, have ice cream and buy some chocolates. The large cafe was about one third full and we sat at the lounge chairs at the corner window which was covered in flies with dead flies littered on the ground. We ordered online and our scones came first however the chocolate milkshake and hot chocolate arrived at least 10 minutes later. I walked to the self serve counter to grab 2 spoons which weren't very clean.

But that's not the worst of it. After everything arrived and half way through the female owner and a male staff came over where the owner asked if I was carrying a gun? She said a customer had reported to them that it looked like I was carrying one. At no point was I holding anything that resembled a gun and I told them I had a phone and wallet in my pocket to which she said to forget we ever had this conversation. Feeling quite shocked and offended by this interruption, I definitely won't be coming back after this sour experience!

Our tour including a tasting session of 12 different chocolates, with the girl telling us about each one. I love the packaging and feel it is something unique for a visitor to take home with them. I resisted buying any chocolate as it was a 40C day but had two big scoops of ice cream yum yum! I expected this price for chocolates and didn't find them unreasonable compared to my local favourite, Margaret River Chocolate Factory.

Lovely views, and grounds, lots of chocolate in the shop and a large cafe attached. Nothing special though in my opinion. We went into the cafe for coffee and there were coloring pages for the kids, our daughter loves colouring but when I asked where the pencils were the staff said we had to pay for them. Seriously put me off going there again. Don’t offer free colouring pages if your not going to include pencils. Money grabbing at its best.

A great place to take family and friends! Being locals, my daughter often visit simply for the delicious hot chocolate and ice cream!! Also good for getting presents. Being able to see chocolates being made is cool, rural views are nice and the cafe is good. Can get busy.

This is not the place to visit if you do t like extreme crowds and noise. We foolishly visited on a Sunday lunchtime (in hindsight probably should have realized this was their busiest time). There were large buses and hundreds of cars in the car park. There were several hundred people inside and it was chaotic. Extremely loud and not a great experience. The queue for the cafe was very long. The queue to pay for chocolates was also very long. We stayed for 5 minutes. If we ever go back we’ll do it during the week at a quieter time.
