Full sized replica of the Parthenon right in the park (weird, but cool haha). There are some food trucks around, and Edly's BBQ sits right on the side of the park so you can walk over for a bite to eat. Lots of free entertainment...More

The Parthenon building reproduction is very large and beautiful. Inside was disappointing. The downstairs was being revamped when we were there and therefore, closed. There were two small galleries open which had little to offer. Upstairs wasn't any better. The only things there were the...More

The park itself is simply lovely. Wonderful sidewalks meander around the lake. (Really like seeing the beehives on the island.) The tour book we had picked up didn't mention any closures.

Great place to walk and run, near the restaurants, and free parking for 2 hours (I don't think they ever check or ticket anyone!).

Gorgeous trees and foliage. Bring bread for the ducks - they expect it as they came right over to us as we approached the water.

I'm not much on history but went along with the crowd. I really learned a lot. It was something I wouldn't of done on my own. Construction was amazing!

OUr hotel was across the street from the park so we walked over with a free pass from the hotel to get in. The art works and the photos of the history of the Parthenon building were interesting. The gold statue of Athena was HUGE.

Better than a quick trip to Athens. The structure is impressive and it is fun to see a reconstructed Parthenon. Park is nice for exploring and the pond adds to the enjoyment, always nice to sit next to a pond.
