What a lady

The tour was informative but we so enjoyed learning all we did about the lady of the house. Her home is beautiful and different for that era

I was very happy with our tour of the Belmont Mansion. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the home and family. I was impressed that he readily knew the answer to every question asked. The restoration work is still in progress, so some rooms are more complete than others, but we could view all the rooms... I loved the mansion. Our tour guide was a wonderful young women who answered every question. I wish more restoration had been done, but this was well worth the visit. We purchased items in the gift shop.

Mansion tour was well run and informative. We spent about 30 minutes walking around the grounds and then an hour in the house. There were some interesting art pieces and furniture in the rooms.

A guided tour through the mansion and its story. We found it very interesting and the tour guide was very informed. We would recommend this tour if your into history, especially since this is about a woman of wealth and how she was ahead of her time.

Our tour guide was fantastic and so well informed about the history of the area and the house. The gardens are beautiful and a great photo opportunity for your group. Fans of the Belmont books series won't want to miss this either.

A friend and I went to visit this home and took the tour to hear about the house and the family. The guide was nice and very good to answer questions. There was a younger guest on the tour who asked questions and those were answered in a manner consistent with the age of the child. The home still has... More

This mansion is really neat. The problem is that it's owned and operated by the university and they've done a terrible job of preserving it. A lot of the original plaster walls are crumbling and the paint is peeling in many places. So much of the original house is surrounded by university buildings that you really cannot get a feel... We were on the inaugural special tour they had about "Victorian Mourning Customs". I'd definitely recommend that they continue with this tour, and that if you're in the area near Halloween, you try to get on one of them. It was an evening tour, and our tour guide (Andy), was excellent. His two coworkers (older people whose names I don't... More
