We loved Nashville and really enjoyed going to the Grand Ole Opry here. It is an older venue but that gives it character.

The Ryman Auditorium is NOT the best place to see an event. Although the building is historical - it does not serve you well to view a concert - too many obstructions (polls) in the way of the stage.

I recently enjoyed a comedic act and the Ryman Auditorium. The seating was great and the staff is friendly and helpful. The acoustics were good and the building was clean and well maintained. Such history here!

Great behind the scenes information on the artists, actors, performers of all kinds who performed on the stage. It is a well loved and preserved music venue with loads of history. By booking a guided tour we were able to visit the dressing rooms and...More

When in Nashville, this is a must-see venue. The Ryman offers a very interesting self-guided tour highlighting the history of country and bluegrass music with numerous showcases housing artists' instruments and costumes. A recently-produced video, shown in their theater, traces the history of the building....More

You can take tours with backstage access. Instead opted for a concert they do almost weekly. You can wander around and get a show, well worth the stop.

We did the self guided tour which was fine. The guided tours were sold out (did not plan this ahead - you should!). Interesting history and we certainly learned quite a bit about this 'Grand Ole Opry' original building.

We did not. We were there around 2:00 on Saturday and walked right up to get tickets with no problem for the self guided tour. Now if you want to see a show, you probably need to do that in advance!
