Showed up early for the question & answer session with the band, lots of fun. Employees very friendly & helpful. I asked the staff, and cushions are allowed for sitting on those hard pews, and can buy one in the gift shop.

Here's the thing about the Ryman...it's an experience. There is a reason it's called the "Mother Church" here in Nashville. Even the outside architecture looks sacred. I have seen several acts there...from the Opry to Lauren Hill, and as a bit of a snobby music scene type...I've never once been disappointed. To be honest, it is the ONE guided tour... More

The Ryman is the original home of the Grand Ol Opry and the tour is wonderfully haunted by the ghosts of the beginning of Country and Western music. The visit begins by a short, but fascinating history of the Auditorium which was the best introductory film I can recall. I would have watched it several times if I could. The... More

I'm not a country fan but all my friends recommended the Ryman Auditorium and I am so happy that I went. The first room they ask you to go in is fantastic ! It was very entertaining! Lots of history. Do not miss this place !

What a prime example of how to turn a historical downtown area into a entertainment center. Downtown Nashville is a pleasure to visit! So many bars and restaurants it's hard to decide where to eat. I'm a senior now but still enjoyed the lively atmosphere. There is something for everyone and it feels safe.

This is a must do if you are interested n history or music history. The history of the building was very interesting. Its renovation and resurrection from disuse is a good example of urban preservation. When you sit in the pew style benches and look at the stage, you can imagine the musical acts that performed and entertained at this... More

Been visiting here since I was a kid. The tours are more pricey but if you buy a package deal you get more for your money. The history of this place is worth it!

Taking a tour of the Ryman seems like an obvious choice, but the experience ended up being much richer than we were giving it credit for. It really is a Nashville gen. What a fascinating history this place has!. We had no idea of the range of talent the Ryman has seen and how close it came to disappearing all... More

If you are going to see the sites in Nashville the best venue is still where it all started at the "Ryman" ( locals call it the church) Several years ago a bigger facility was built next to Opryland Hotel for the Grand ole Opry but It lacks the charm of the Ryman. So if you visit in December chances... More
