Just a few blocks of walking on both sides of Broadway in downtown Nashville -- "The District" -- will take you happily into a rollicking honky tonk (one is a triple-decker; another has a roof garden) where boot-kicking live country/pop/rock music sometimes starts in the morning, or a western-wear store with nice duds beyond the very cool boots and hats,... The District is kind of like the main central street down inner Downtown Nashville. All of the best Honky Tonk bars and shops are here, definitely a tourist friendly location. Bridgestone Arena is also right in this general area, so if you're visiting, I highly recommend checking out a Predators game! Lots of good restaurants, fun novelty shops and a... More

If you're up for loud honky tonk, you'll enjoy the gulch with lots of bars and music. Places for romantic or family dining - forget it. There are the usual young rowdy crowds and some sad street people scattered around.

This place is just humming with a new band in a new bar every 20 paces and brides to be galore. It really is something to behold...go at night for the best experience.

This is Downtown Nashville. Many local bars to hear singers. No "big bags" into these places. Parking difficult and expensive.

during the day it's OK, but in the evening it's quite busy, although there's good music, the drinkers abound and it's better left for the young.

There is a lot to see and hear along Broadway. Each day/night changes with the different type of people. Thursday was more subdued compared to Friday. Music always playing. Go in an out of bars, order and drink and listen to the good and bad. It is an experience. VERY clean and VERY safe!

The District is not to be missed. Just wonder down one side of the street and then the other drifting in and out of the music venues and enjoy a drink and some BBQ or other food while you stroll.

I hope this means the main drag. Full of great bars, music and people. Lots of energy, colour, cowboy central:) . Wear your boots, and fringes.. hats and settle into the best music and atmosphere to fall in love with country music. Lots of variety in the bars and places to eat.. so if you are not all about country... More
