- JRsNeighborDallas, Texas547 contributionsNever knew I needed to see this until I got there....My husband made us (a group of friends) go out of our way to see this spectacle. And, I never knew I needed to see this until I got there. It is truly a trip down memory lane and such a great time. We had a blast looking at all things Dukes of Hazard. It was great to see when it began to rain as well.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 May 2024
- SarahLoxahatchee, Florida5 contributionsGO BACK IN TIME AND ENJOY THE MEMORIESI took my 21 year old son here so he could experience something cool from my childhood. We both loved it. The staff was so nice and friendly too! I loved the fact that things were affordable so we didn't have to choose between what to buy and put back. The museum parts were cool. Loved seeing the stunt men section too. Crazy, brave people that don't get the recognition they deserve. So much memorabilia. Truly a great place to remember some of the best times.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 3 July 2024
- BachibousoucoAmman, Jordan102 contributionsGreat memoriesMy family and I just stumbled upon the museum while driving around. It was a pleasant surprise since this brought me great memories from when I was growing-up and when I wanted to be just like Bo and Luke. In addition to being free, the museum has a lot of the Dukes of Hasards’ paraphernalia and videos showing some of the episodes. The highlight is of course the General Lee parked in front. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend for anyone visiting Nashville.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 10 July 2024

Great little quick museum on all things Dukes of Hazzard free admission (always great) and the staff was so friendly and engaging. They have a variety of items in the gift shop for any collector. The cars were an interesting exhibit and it was fortunate that pictures in the car were an option for not an outrageous amount.

So....let me just say, I grew up watching the show and playing with many of the play sets that were displayed upfront in the corner. I realize it’s a free museum BUT, I felt like it was less of a museum and more about selling souvenirs. There is literally stuff for sale in every corner. I love the idea behind a D of H museum but this isn’t really it. This is more about seeing some things here and there from the show while also looking at everything for sale.

We were visiting Nashville from NY and while researching fun things to do with kids (11 and 7 year old boys) this popped up. They don't know what the Dukes of Hazzard is but it looked fun. It's free to go in but they have the 4 cars used in the series and you can pay $$ for a picture with it. It's $30 for all four or $10 a pop. We opted to pay for 1 car and it was worth it because the guy let us take a picture of each kid alone and a family picture. Not just 1 picture. The "museum" is just a bunch of merch behind glass cases that was made for Duke of Hazzard. It's next to the Willie Nelson store but you need to pay for that museum and we didn't. We could have skipped this visit but... oh well. Live and learn.

My husband and I went to the Willie Nelson museum next door and decided to give Cooter's a try. The free admission is definitely a plus. There are 4 cars on display (although we only saw 3) that you can pay to have your picture in/with and the building is LOADED with all things dukes of hazzard like toys and such. I would say if you are a fan of the show it is something to see but if not I wouldn't waste your time

If you’ve even heard of Dukes of Hazard I would recommend stopping here. Not only is it a free attraction, but they have so much to see including four vehicles from the show. We walked through everything in about a half an hour. We went on a Friday morning, shortly after they opened and they weren’t very busy at that time. The staff were friendly.

Loved the Dukes of Hazard reruns as a kid so this was a must stop during my trip to Nashville. I was happy to pose with the General Lee but due to COVID I couldn't go in the car. The museum is free so it was fun seeing the old memorabilia.

I guess if you were really into the dukes of Hazzard show, it was pretty cool looking at all of the memorabilia collected in glass cases and shown in an organized fashion. The general Lee was there as well as Daisy's Jeep and for a charge you can sit inside them otherwise photos with them were free. Nice little store up front with collectibles priced reasonably.

I had fond memories of the Dukes of Hazzard so went out of my way to get out to this spot. Not a very large place, but a lot of memorabilia from the show and plenty of gifts and souvenirs available to buy. Entrance is free. For just $5 you can have your picture taken sitting at the wheel of the most recognizable car on the planet - the General Lee!

It was nice to be able to visit for free. Lots of childhood memories of the show. It is amazing to see all the Duke's of Hazard products that were sold over the years. That being said, the museum likely survives on the sales of promotional products. The driver's license for Flash the dog was pretty funny. There are a lot of Confederate flag items and some "the south will rise again" items. However, some items just featured the 01 (number on the car) instead. We looked at the vehicles from the show (or made to look like they came from the show) but we did not buy the pass to have our photos taken in them. The inventory of promotional products for sale is a little overwhelming.
The Museum is in a mini-mall with the Willie Nelson museum and a bar where Randy Travis had supposedly done dishes before his career took off. It is located near the Opryland hotel but far enough away you probably wouldn't want to walk.

Dukes of Hazzard heaven. Great collection of memorabilia to browse including The General Lee, Daisy's Jeep, Roscoe's cruiser and Cooter's toe truck. Lots of great DoH themed merchandise h, a bit pricey but worth a bit of a splurge as a souvenir of your visit. Walking through the museum is free of charge.

Mot next to cooters place how are the rooms there for one night for three people?
Written 3 August 2018
The resort across from Cooter's is the Gaylord Opryland Resort. It is a NICE resort, but it is pricey. The Gaylord will jack up the price on Tuesday nights because the Grand 'Ole Opry (which is near the Gaylord) has shows on Tuesday and Saturday nights.
They have three different wings. They have a boat ride inside of the resort. Food is good. Drinks are a little high, but all of Nashville is a tourist trap and you will pay for it. On the same road past Cooter's just a few blocks down is a Wyndam properties resort. Be careful there, they may try an sell you a timeshare. You can buy a Fun Vacation discounted ticket but you got to sit through a 90 minute timeshare presentation to get it - huh, that 90 minute turned into a 4 hours waste of time. I'd rather enjoy my vacation and spend full price. We did get discounted tickets. Go there for the brouchure on things to do, just don't do the Wyndam Destination timeshare. Willy Nelson has a t-shirt shop next to Cooter's as well. Neat place for Duke' of Hazzard fans. Periodically the cast members will show up for autograph sessions.

How much is it to take pictures in the cars?
Written 4 February 2018
I can’t remember the exact number but it was something like $10 per vehicle or all three for $25. I may be off a few dollars either way but that was roughly yet. It was extremely reasonable.
