This was a great bar with a mix of different types of music and great staff. I would love to give this place a great review.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very surprised and disappointed given the high ratings and number of reviews. Our experience was very different. It was handy to our hotel so we stopped in to eat before heading downtown around supper time. There were maybe 4 people, no music at all (Not even a Dj) just a big empty room with a very bored bartender and an even more bored waitress. We finished the beer we ordered and went somewhere else.

After reading the reviews I'm sure they refer to the Tin Roof on Broadway, not this place. Walked in on Friday night around 9. About six people in the place. We walked to where the band was in the back room, facing away from the main room. Back room smelled like urine! Couldn't stand it so we sat in the main room behind the band, only to find out they only serve beer and mixed drinks, no wine. That was our ticket out of this dump. Walked a half block up the street to Live Oak and had a great time. Avoid Tin Roof on Demonbreun St!

We came for an Eagles game on a Sunday. It was a disaster. Understaffed, unprepared. The second floor room was leaking and the rain was everywhere. We sat at a table for an hour and had no service. We then went to the first floor and were ignored by the staff. Based on this experience and our experience at the Franklin location, I’m not going back. For a true Eagles bar experience in Nashville go to Brotherly love.

We were here when Tennessee played Patriots and was a mad house. Pretty much standing room only. But everyone was cordial and wait staff timely. Food was good. Plenty of televisions to see.

Loved it!!! Stopped by in the afternoon and had a few drinks. Since we were there early, no live music, however the bartender's playlist was amazing. Bartenders were very nice, music was good and the prices reasonable. What more can you ask for.
Next time in Nashville, I will spend more time here.

Went here expecting more as it was highly recommended by others who had visited Nashville. We were not that impressed. The crowd is very young. There was no table service so we had to go to the bar to order a few drinks, which was fine. The music was good. The place wasn't very big inside and while we were there it was overcrowded, perhaps a fire hazard...lol. We didn't end up staying long as the crowd started yelling and spilling drinks. Just wasn't our scene.

We came here because it was one of the 1st places we saw and it had decent reviews. I honestly don't know how they have the reviews that they do!
We were sitting at our table for 15 mins before the 1st person approached us! The place was not packed!! The service was horrible and the food was just ok and it ended up making us sick. I will never go back to this place!!

Was in the Nash and stopped in at the Tin Roof for a couple of beverages and was treated to some amazing sets of Music. Nashville is no longer just a place for country because I heard greatness from a former contestant of The Voice named Todd Kessler followed by a searing set by a Rock power trio based in Nashville called Auction the Secret. The boss/MC was a guy named Patrick who clearly appreciates and has a great knowledge of all music and wants to get the really good stuff out to the masses. This is no downtown honky tonk, this is where locals go to hear the real deal. Anytime I'm up I'll be stopping in because you never know who's going to cross their stage.

Pleasantly surprised how good the service was considering how busy the bar was when we stopped in. We recommend the sloppy nachos. Music was great.

What hotels or rental are near the Tin roof in Nashville?
Written 9 July 2016
Renaissance or Union Station are close. So is Hilton. Look for hotels marked "downtown". Outlying areas will be cheaper but you will have to drive or taxi to town. Walking is def worth the extra cost.
