You can park at the library after 5pm for $3-5 dollars, depending on the day, and no more than $10 for the day. About three blocks from the Ryman and Broadway bars and restaurants.

Do not miss this. It is a small room, but contains so much history. There are lots of books about the civil rights movement, videos to choose from, and a "lunch counter" you need to see.

I loved all the marble and ornate iron work. It had a very thorough periodical section and beautiful cheery tables and chairs to read at.

The Nashville Public Library reminded me a bit of the New York Public Library. Would you believe they have a climbing wall in the children’s section among other things?!

Absolutely beautiful library that is so much more than a library. We primarily go for the kids activities--story time and the related fun in the kids department--and always end up hanging around taking in the sights around the building. The story time is so much...More

We stopped by the NPL expecting to take a spin through and get on with our day. Not so fast. We stumbled upon a photo exhibit with stories and photos of Holocaust survivors. Incredible. I would definitely go back to spend more time. The library...More
