About
PLEASE NOTE: We are currently operating at our Two Rivers Park location near Gaylord Opryland Resort (2320 2 Rivers Parkway) in front of Wave Country water park. Enjoy close to 20 miles of paved, dedicated biking trails as well as routes into hip urban neighborhoods. Through a unique arrangement with Nashville Metro Parks Dept. we are able to operate from the greenway trail head at Two Rivers Park. Like a food truck, we roll-in and out on days we operate and work from a customized trailer. For this reason we ask that customers either call in advance or use our reservation page to make sure we are operating on the requested day. We not only provide excellent bikes for recreation or fitness, but we have also equipped each bike with a bike bag that fits smartphones for display/ use while riding.

We had a fantastic time biking the Shelby Bottoms Greenway into Two Rivers Park and then back to explore parts of East Nashville. I'm a local and had two friends from out of town visiting. Steven was a great host providing details on the bikes and the route options, suggesting the best route based on our level of experience and shape for a 4 hour rental. The bikes were in very good condition, good quality and comfortable. I would definitely do this again.

I have now rented twice and done two great rides through Shelby Bottoms, one with my wife and one with my daughter. The bikes were just right, the service and convenience were great, and the trails are beautiful, including going over the pedestrian/bike bridge. This a great activity for any Nashville trip - perhaps to sweat out the night before on Broadway - and Bike the Greenway is the perfect way to do it. Will do again.

A buttoned-up bike rental service. Communication before the rental was clear and detailed, website was easy to navigate and to make a reservation. Upon arrival received a very good briefing on the trail and the bikes. Special note, these are very good rental bikes, high-end, and in very good shape. I would definitely rent a bike from bike the Greenway again.

Booking the bikes, getting them, and doing the ride could not have been easier! My family came to visit in Nashville and we wanted to go on a bike ride to get out of the city for a bit and get some exercise. This was a nearly all flat ride, we went about 11 miles total in 2 hours just biking casually. The paved trail is beautiful and easy to follow. I would highly recommend this for all abilities, it was such a nice way to spend the afternoon.

Went with my mom for a bike ride. Easy to find in a beautiful park. Steve was very nice and helpful. He was patient while finding the right bike for me and adjusting it as needed. The bikes come with water bottle, phone and small belongings holders which was perfect. Steve showed us a map of the trails and let us know the length and difficulty. Had beautiful 14mi ride!! Would definitely go back.

Steve & his crew could not have been nicer. These guys offer the best opportunity to ride the Greenway. They have beautiful new bikes with pedal assist if requested. They have helmets, water, and the bikes even have a spot for keys, wallet, etc., and a spot for your phone on the front handle bars. Even if you're not a regular bike rider, Steve made everyone very comfortable with these bikes and how they operate. Since this was our first time in Nashville, they had a couple of Steve's crew ride with us to our first destination...a brewery! This helped immensely, and we even got a history lesson on our ride. The Greenway is scenic, 95% flat, and had many trail options to get around, even downtown Nashville. I would highly recommend planning a bike day with Steve and his crew on your next stop in Nashville! You won't be disappointed!

Great spot to pick up the bikes - very picturesque yet easy to get into the city! Our rep was the nicest guy ever and so knowledgeable About the area and bike routes. We arrived a bit early but he was more than eager to accommodate us. We forgot our water and he was happy to give us each a bottle and even though we were early he insisted we keep the bikes until our original booking time which was well over two hours! A great experience that we would surely do again!

Bike the Greenway was the perfect place to call when I decided I'd like to bike while in Nashville. My husband had an afternoon of meetings and I wanted to get out in nature, see the area and exercise. I called to make sure it was safe for a woman to be alone and spoke with the owner--he was full of great information. He let me know what to bring and what he would provide (helmet and bike, no need for clip-in shoes or padded shorts). I'm a cyclist, so I wanted to be prepared. Everything was very straightforward, the website was easy to use, and the guys helping fit me to the bike and helmet were knowledgeable and quick. The scenery was BEAUTIFUL will water, bridges, and lots of "green"! I highly recommend both the bikeride and Bike the Greenway as your rental.

In addition to visiting museums and listening to live music, biking the Greenway was a wonderful and different activity. Steve runs a top-notch bike rental company with well-maintained Trek bikes. He also provides great customer service and fits you to the bike and with a helmet, directions and suggestions also included.
I highly recommend Steve and Bike the Greenway! Add Bike the Greenway to your list when visiting Nashville!

What a great experience! We were a bit unsure on our way to the meeting point since we are completely unfamiliar with Nashville but our Uber driver found the spot without any problem. Steve was waiting for us with a selection of bikes and helmets. He gave us a tutorial on the bikes and a good explanation of the trails. The trails are fantastic, smooth, wide and have beautiful scenery. Steve even told us about an off-shoot of the main trail that took us to a defunct airport that is now part of the park system.. how often do you get to say you rode on an airplane runway?! A wonderful few hours of exercise and fresh air during our trip to awesome Nashville! Highly recommend!

Is this suitable for children (under 10) - smaller bikes or ones that attach to adult bike?
Written 30 September 2017
No I believe children must be at least 12. No smaller bikes or attachments that I saw.

Can you walk from Peabody street (from a parking lot) to the ascend theater and is it safe at night? (To return after a concert)

I am not sure why you are asking us about city street safety issues? We are a private bike rental company operating outside of downtown (Gaylord Opryland area). I believe you mistakenly posted question to our page.

From downtown Nashville, where could I get on the trail system? Also, I can bring my own bike, right?
Written 30 December 2014
Yes you can bring your own bike. The trail systems are for public use and are used by walkers, joggers, and bikers. We even passed one couple running on some sort of springs that made them look like they were running on the moon. Now I want to find a pair of these and try them :-) I would very much recommend a bike with multiple gears as the trail system can be pretty hilly in some places.
From downtown Nashville head to the Shelby Street Bridge (pedestrian bridge NE of downtown crossing the Cumberland River).
If you look at maps on Google Earth the bridge and Davidson St are listed as Music City Bikeway. If you follow Davidson St east to Shelby Park you can then get on the Shelby Bottoms Greenway trail system. This will take you as far north as Opryland although on the opposite side of the river as Opryland. At McLeans Bend there is a very nice pedestrian bridge that crosses the Cumberland river to the east. If you follow this path you end up on the Stones River Greenway.
Below is a link I found to the city Parks and Bike Trail. Nashville has done a great job of providing many well maintained bike/jogging trails and has obviously invested a great deal of money developing these trails. If your into bike riding I would highly recommend exploring these trail system.
