About
Nestled inside a giant ship-shaped building, the Titanic Museum tells the story of the RMS Titanic’s fatal maiden voyage in 1912. Upon arrival, receive a boarding pass—of an actual crew member or passenger who was onboard the ship—from a costumed staff member; and discover his or her fate at the end of your visit. Here, you can take a photo on the Grand Staircase, explore the galleries, sit in a lifeboat, touch an iceberg, and view over 400 actual historic artifacts recovered from the ship. Don’t leave without seeing the world’s largest LEGO Titanic replica, which is built to scale using 56,000 bricks.

- scubamex434 contributionsTop place to visit.Having been to Belfast, Northern Ireland and visiting the Titanic attraction there built on the slip where the Titanic was built; we weren't expecting what we experienced here at Pigeon Forge. A fabulous job. Well thought out and well worth a visit. This is truly an attraction that you do not want to miss if you are in the area. Highly recommended.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 September 2023
- andream0626Geneva, Illinois54 contributionsPowerful AdventureGet ready to set sail on the Titanic. Many artifacts, pictures and self guided audio tour. Very moving history and an excellent 26 foot replica of the Titanic made out of Legos. A must see while in Pigeon Forge.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 September 2023
- Mama Bear9 contributionsTitanicWe enjoyed every moment of the museum tour. The tour and its personalized speakers that you may select and listen to made the journey on the titanic come to life. Feeling the water and cool breeze aboard the ship made us feel the power of the ocean. We could truly feel the sadness of the wreckage. We learned so much. Each of us got a ticket aboard the ship and got to find out at the end if we survived. It was a learning experience for all of us!Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 12 October 2023
- Phil UWiltshire, United Kingdom225 contributionsSobering and deeply moving. This is a must see for titanic nuts. Walk the corridors of the ship. Climb the famous staircase by the clock. Take in the history, what happened and how. Feel the icy chill that night and soak up this immensely tragic story. Brits, take a pinch of salt with you! It’s really worth the visit. It’s really immersive. Educational and deeply moving.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 31 October 2023
- 🥳 🎉 🥳 Keep Life Simple 🥳🎉🥳Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania126,585 contributionsA definite must see if a Titanic fanThe Titanic museum was a excellent place to visit. You start and get a boarding pass of one of the passengers and see if they lived or perished. The self guided tour was very educational. There is displays and artifacts that were floating on the water from the Titanic. Easiest way to get tickets is on the cell pone. You still have to wait in a line to use a computer anyway to get tickets.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 13 November 2023
- littlejet401 contributionsOne of the best museums I’ve ever visitedThis turned out to be one of the most moving, comprehensive museums I’ve been to. The museum allows entry based on reserved time slots, but once you’re in you can take as much time as needed to see everything. The artifacts, pictures, placards, tell the story of the Titanic from multiple different perspectives…from the people who designed and built it, the crew, and the passenger experience for all 3 classes (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). There are still new artifacts being discovered. The Titanic did not go straight from Southampton England to the open ocean towards the U.S. It turns out the ship went from England to France, then to Ireland before heading into the open ocean. There was a priest who got on in England, then got off in Ireland. He took thousands of pictures of the ship, passengers, etc. Some of the pictures were published at the time but most of the negatives were stored in a trunk. When he died, the trunk was left undisturbed until its rediscovery in the 1980s, and thousands of never before seen photos were published. There was a unique display of a massive replica of the Titanic made by a young person with autism. In addition, there is a video raising awareness of autism. Another striking experience was a room recreating the deck at night, stars shining, then containers over the railing containing water at 28 degrees and you’re encouraged to put your hand in to feel how cold it was. It’s one thing to know in your mind it was cold, but another thing altogether to get the tactile experience of having a part of your body submerged in it. There is so much more to tell but I’m running out of space! Just GO!Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 26 November 2023
- AmandaMaryland127 contributionsFun and EducationalWe loved our visit to the Titanic museum. It was a little slow getting in because of how they do the timed entry but it also helped limit the crowds in each room. Before you enter you get assigned to be a person that was actually on the Titanic and then at the end you find out if your person survived or not. They have alot of artifacts that were on the Titanic. My kids are 8 and 11. They enjoyed the interactive exhibits the most. They liked trying to walk to ship deck and the different angles as the ship was sinking and trying to steer the ship to avoid the iceberg the best. Other things we enjoyed was pretending to shovel coal and feeling how cold the water was where the Titanic sunk. One of the employees was doing a virtual field trip for a school class while we were there and my kids helped do some demonstrations, this is one of their favorite memories from the museum.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 3 January 2024
- Amanda WSomerset, Pennsylvania10 contributionsThe titanic is always greatI’ve been to 3 titanic museums and I have to say this one isn’t the best but it was still great. I felt more rushed at this location vs the other 2 locations (Orlando and Las Vegas). This also was a self guided tour and Orlando offers a guided tour with more information. This museum still had a lot of interesting things to see and read and I’m glad we went.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 13 January 2024
- David PAlbany, New York22 contributionsGreat Vow renewal!!!My wife and I went to the Titanic to renew our vows on the 40th anniversary. The staff was all wonderful, our officiant was Capt Campbell and Nathan coordinated our experience and took photos for us. Everything was 5 star. The only issue we had was the professional photographer who did not get good photographs. The staircase was in low light, and I don't think she was experienced in shooting. The pictures she took came out muddy and slightly out of focus. Fortunately Nathan took great photos, and many of them so if one picture didn't come out we had several more to pic from. Captain Campbell was a fantastic officiant, he had just celebrated 50 years. I really understood what it meant to us. All in all - a great experience for us!Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 July 2024

This was an amazing museum. They merged facts with displays, and interactive exhibits. Even though a few of the exhibits were closed there were plenty to be impressed by and I loved it. The grand staircase was beautiful. It was so amazing to touch the replica representation of the iceberg and touching water that was the same temperature that the people would have had to struggle in when the boat sank was emotional. My absolute favorite was the band exhibit. While we walked in a crew member was playing the piano as we read about the band and their part in this history. Then after he finished playing the piano he proceeded to inform us about the sacrifices the band made and their outcomes. He then played his violin after telling us about the lead band members body being recovered with his violin. This very violin happened to be on exhibit and is the most expensive artifact from the Titanic. This left me speechless. I highly recommend everyone to allow a couple hours to walk through this piece of history. Also make sure you get tickets ahead of time and schedule a boarding time with the museum. No photos are allowed the only exception that was made was by the collectors of the violin and the violin case.

Visited the week of Thanksgiving 2021. The museum was interesting and I really liked the biograghical cards detailing the life of an actual passenger where you find out at the end whether the person lived or died. The museum was very interesting but after a while the kids started getting bored and I left the electronic tour guide device alone altogether. The room that simulated the weather conditions and water temperatures the night of the sinking was cool. The museum I thought was a little pricey until one of the guides mentioned a family rate that was previously unpublished. I think advertising this rate might bump up the number of people attending. Also you might want to think about making an appointment as they try to control the number of people going through the museum.

My family and I went to three museums while in Pigeon Forge and this was the first one we saw. We really liked that you are given the name and bio of a person on the ship and the museum staff is very good at explaining the exhibits. Having grown up near Manhattan and having driven past the dock the Titanic was supposed to supposed dock at, this was a great way to learn about the ship and its fateful voyage. Right now the temporary exhibition focuses on the Jewish Passengers and crew members. It is really beautifully done. I highly recommend this museum and I would splurge on the Audio tour if you are on the fence about it.

We actually went here after they first opened and as a history buff- and someone who has always been especially fascinated with The Titanic- I highly recommend it. It may look big on the outside, but it’s even bigger than you think on the inside! So full of valuable and fascinating history - including lots of actual artifacts from the ship. I enjoyed every minute of it. Just allow yourself plenty of time to take it all in and to look at it all. Lots to read and see. Worth every penny of admission!!

History buffs will enjoy. The admission fee includes a audio wand that gives insight on several of the exhibits. They also have audio geared for children. You receive a boarding pass that has the name and a bit of history of an actual passenger. The end of the tour has a wall of names where you can find out the fate of your passenger. I would not recommend for kids under 10-12 unless they really like history.

Love anything Titanic. Honeymooning in area. Saw a Titanic exhibit in Mystic, CT so had to see this one. Both very different. Enjoyable except for young children that were allowed to keep screaming and throwing fits. Had to wait for several families to move ahead to continue to enjoy. Exhibit entrance had timed tickets only and 20 quests allowed every 10 minutes. CDC guidelines enforced. Well organized. I recommend a visit.

I really enjoyed my time here today. We did the 11:30am tour. We got there early and browsed the gift store. When they texted us, we went to the line. We waited for about 15 minutes but the staff kept us entertained. Jodie was very clear and efficient when explaining the rules inside and how to operate the handheld audio device. Once inside they were very strict with everyone wearing a face mask and keeping 6 ft from one another. I think this is the only place in town who is being careful and proactive with the masks and other guidelines. We spent about an hour inside doing the tour. I wish it had been a little longer because it was not a cheap event. We had fun nonetheless. Also be advised they will not allow you to take any photos except for the famous violin that was playing as the ship sank and the Lego creation at the end.

Well organized, not too many people let in at one time so you actually had the chance to spend time and experience the exhibits. I wasn't sure going in if it would be kitschy or not since it was in Pigeon Forge but it's a legit museum that's well worth the price of admission. Took about two hours to do the whole tour. Audio guide was great for adding.information to what was already provided in the exhibits. Interesting angle currently is that there's a feature of Jewish people on the Titanic and there's a facinating thread involving Ann Frank's father/family. Highly recommend!

It was $28 per person for entry to the museum. Purchase tickets online for your timed entry. Prior to arriving, you will receive a text message letting you know you can enter. If they really are Covid conscious as you are lead to believe when entering, there wouldn’t have been as many people in each section/room. It didn’t appear the capacity was controlled for Covid. People were not adhering to the social distancing stickers on the floor and walls. Otherwise, the museum had great information and artifacts. You are given a hand held audio listening device; follow the prompts. I agree with another reviewer there is too much to read. The LEGO ship is a sight to see! It is very easy to navigate as it is all one way. Check out the iceberg and water room. The outside is a really cool building.

This place is definitely worth checking out. You definitely want to reserve tickets ahead of time. They can only allow 50% capacity right now due to COVID and tickets go fast. There was a lot of interesting information and several replicas of parts of the ship such as first class and third class rooms, the grand staircase, and the captains room. There are employees throughout that explain certain exhibits, but you move through at your own pace. Everyone in my group really enjoyed it.

It's been awhile since I've been there but they should have had a kiosk at the end of the tour that you use to pay for whatever package you wanted. If you got the digital album then you should receive an email prompting you to save the pictures you made at the museum. You need to make an account on the magjic memories website and then it will let you download your pictures to your phone and you can print them out later if you would like. I remember doing it that way, at least.

It's a 50-foot walk or a 1/4-mile walk depending on if there's parking open. Could be even longer if no parking half a mile. General rule busy on weekends less busy weekdays

How is it the life vest on display is so much smaller than those shown in the photos of survivors.
In the photos, the vests come down past their waist and just above the knees. The one on display looks to have been made for a small child or is it a replica? It's under glass and no mention of it being a replica.

Believe that it is a child vest, not a replication

Thank you for your question.
Yes, we do have a printed version of our audio players for the hearing impaired. Like the audio players, there is no extra cost. Just ask for one when you receive your audio player and return it with your audio player at the end of your tour.
