We loved hiking around the park at the visitors center and up at the top where the gardens and old hotel ruins are located.
Our kids played in the water near the visitor center for hours. They had a wonderful time!

We live within a 45 minute drive to Roan Mountain. We had some friends that were camping there and invited us up for the weekend. It was so beautiful and we couldn’t believe we don’t go more often. It was 10-15 degrees cooler than home...More
Excellent pool for kiddos and adults. Kiddie pool is a decent size, connected to the big pool with its own steps, and large 2-4 foot deep area. There are plenty of lounge chairs.

We recently hikes the last portion to the top of the first ridge and really enjoyed it. The view was stunning and it was worth the moderate short hike. If you are in the area, I would recommend Roan Mountain!
