My husband and I went the beginning of August and there were butterflies everywhere! We explored the Miller Homestead, the overlook and the old cemetery. We'll definitely be back to hike the trail!

We recently hikes the last portion to the top of the first ridge and really enjoyed it. The view was stunning and it was worth the moderate short hike. If you are in the area, I would recommend Roan Mountain!
