I drove up to The Farm in Summertown, TN with my grandson. I wanted to see an alternative life style that started back in the 70s. I met Vickie at the Farm Welcome Center and she was very informative showing us pictures, reviewing all the...More

I attended a training workshop for Midwives here. I learned a lot of new skills and honed some older ones. This is where the homebirth movement began. They served the best vegetarian meals and the company was wonderful. It is a beautiful commune set in...More

Definitely enjoyed the history of how they took the caravan to Tennessee. If you love the Tennessee rolling hills and farmland, definitely worth traveling to. Loved all I learned too during our nursing school visit about midwifery.

The folks here are always friendly and eager to share the history of "The Farm". It is best to schedule your visit during one of the open house events, so you can visit the school.

Cool place & historical icon. Hosts excellent permaculture & green building workshops. Some members still hold Sunday morning meditation together. All activities we found there hold true to the community's intent to shift the world to a more loving place.
