Very crowded. Did not feel like camping. Too many RVs not enough woods. Bathroom reeked of urine. This is a problem with all Tenn.parks restrooms at state parks.

This is a beautiful lake. Gets little noisy in the season. We have stayed at the cabins, very nice accommodation. Close to the lake and to Winchester. We have rented a boat. Gets more and more expensive every year. Be careful in the summer time....More

Mr. Randy Tipps is correct. The lake is named after Abner Tims who helped construct a ford where the current dam now sits.
